Thanks to the amazing @lakesidearts students got exclusive early access to the Luminarium before it officially opened — and it did not disappoint 🌈

From glowing colours and soft lights to incredible moving shadows, the whole experience felt completely immersive and was the perfect escape from exam stress and revision 📚➡️✨

Luminarium Timisien ❤️💙💚💜🩷

Come with us for an exclusive first look at the majestic labyrinth Luminarium Timisien at @lakesidearts by @architectsofair_

It’s an immersive labyrinth made up of 20 glowing domes, with 18 forming a magical maze of radiant tunnels & spaces to wander through at your own pace. 2 peaceful outer domes offer the perfect spot to pause, reflect & soak in the atmosphere.

Filled entirely with natural daylight, every corner transforms into a breathtaking display of colour — creating an experience that amazes both children & adults.

Handcrafted from 3,900 individual pieces in Nottingham, Luminarium has been visiting @lakesidearts for 20 years.

Created by artist Alan Parkinson, who has been designing luminariums for over 30 years, this installation takes inspiration from the work of James Turrell.

Even better? Much of the material is reused for puppets and can last up to 7 years, making this a beautiful experience that’s kinder to our planet too!

What a fantastic sensory experience for the whole family.
