14 year old Kristy knew nothing about cooking or fine dining. Top Chef opened up a whole world of culinary skills, restaurants, and culture. When I left for college, I started seeking out all the top cheftestant restaurants I could find. 18 year old Kristy didn't have a ton of money, but she DID know that @stephanieizard was from Chicago and that she HAD to go to her restaurant.

Every time I travel, I see which chefs have a restaurant in that area....I've now been to over 50 of them.

Top Chef made me the foodie that I am today.

It is so special to get to try something you've watched be created on television from conception to plate to critique. Cesar's pickle tarte?! ABSOLUTELY INSANE.

I've watched this show religiously since it began 22 seasons ago. Honestly, it's a cornerstone of my whole personality.

14 year old Kristy knew nothing about cooking or fine dining. Top Chef opened up a whole world of culinary skills, restaurants, and culture. When I left for college, I started seeking out all the top cheftestant restaurants I could find. 18 year old Kristy didn't have a ton of money, but she DID know that @stephanieizard was from Chicago and that she HAD to go to her restaurant.

Every time I travel, I see which chefs have a restaurant in that area....I've now been to over 50 of them.

Top Chef made me the foodie that I am today.

So cheers to @bravotopchef : For 22 seasons of amazing television, and for creating an entire generation of millennial foodies. I hope you win all the Emmys.
