@newzealandpost was directed by Luxon’s Government last year to “run a profitable business, focus resources and control costs,” resulting in their decision to close 132 community post offices (on top of last round of cuts and closures).

Lambs’ Pharmacy on Karangahape Rd is one of those impacted. Today I accepted a 3,000+ strong petition to keep the family business, serving our local community, alive. I wrote to the PM and State-Owned Enterprise Minister to request the Government reverse this decision when it was first in train quite a while ago and true to form, haven’t got a response.

Our community cares about each other, and when everything else feels like chaos, that matters. We won’t take this lying down.

Nestled on Karangahape Road, @tempero.akl is Chef Fabio Bernardini’s ‘fun dining’ celebration of Latin flavours, warm hospitality and seasonal produce. Their Pão de queijo (cheese bread) has earned a spot on this year’s Iconic Auckland Eats Top 100 List for the second year running - and according to Fabio, it’s the one dish every table should order 🤤

SATURDAYS ARE FOR KARANGAHAPE! And *this* Saturday is the first CRUSHES TAKEOVER of our monthly F.A.M market day.

We’ve invited special guests, like RACHEL MILLS (with clearance prices on clothes and fabric!!) and stylist ESTELLE SCHULER (who has emptied her storage container for this!), as well as the best vintage in the game, LOTS of fun things for KIDS including grey hound cuddles, a whole alley of FOOD VENDORS, a stage for NZ MUSIC MONTH aaaaaand a DIYourself station (so bring something you want mended, and learn to DIYOURSELF).

Meanwhile, the rest of Karangahape will be lighting up, and we will have instore screen printing at Crushes with our very brand new tattoo tee collaboration…! 👀 So bring a tee or jeans for your own trampstamp or get one from any of the cool shops along Karangahape.

Who said Aucklands boring?? We do this every month baby!!
