As part of 26. April event at @denatelier we are happy to provide you with a unique chance to discover #hustledance , a non-gender dance in a workshop by sensei @mogwai15 from Paris, founder of @wheelz_and_feet and @paris_hustlelab

Hustle is a social partner dance that emerged in the clubs of New York in the 1970s. It grew out of vibrant nightlife spaces shaped by Black, Latino, and LGBTQ+ communities, where dance floors became places of freedom, expression, and connection.

Built on musicality, flow, and shared movement, Hustle is not defined by rigid gender roles. Anyone can lead or follow, and dancers are free to explore different dynamics within the partnership. This openness reflects the spirit of the communities that helped shape the dance.

Over time, Hustle has crossed generations and continues to evolve. While it was born during the disco era, today it is danced to a wide range of contemporary music, from house to modern club sounds. At its core, Hustle celebrates freedom: freedom of expression, freedom of identity, and freedom within partnership. On the dance floor, it becomes less about fixed roles and more about dialogue, creativity, trust, and the joy of moving together.

You can join the workshop for 15eur, and together with the 5pm 👟🛼party for only 20eur.
