Everything you thought you knew about motherhood is wrong. The sleeplessness, the perception you had of yourself, the way you assumed you’d love. Instead, it’s a full system reboot, as difficult to navigate as the latest iOS update. Everything has moved around, you can’t figure out how to do anything, and nothing appears as it used to.

You lose yourself, you find yourself, and then you realize you’re an entirely different person. The tension of living like a shapeshifter.

And you’re still her: the one who wants to be sharp, ambitious, whole. The 2.0 version, who is learning, in real time, that showing your kids a Mum who wants things for herself is its own kind of gift.

To all my mothers, those who have longed for or lost a child, who are waiting to become mothers, who have parted with their own— we are all mothers to one another in this short timeline we have. I hope you are uplifted by the collective spirit of mothers in some way today. Happy Mother’s Day. 💐

A perennial truth: You’ll never know where life will take you. What started as a few hours of copywriting to keep my brain fresh during mat leave turned into so much more.

In my first chapter @_jennybird , my main priority was editorializing the voice of the brand to elevate both brand and founder storytelling, creating a multi-channel ecosystem. Simultaneously, I managed email campaigns, created landing pages, named the designs and even launched the SMS channel. Later on, I launched two print editorial extensions of the brand, The Edit, which brought our community closer to Jenny.

And now, I’m excited to share that I’ve stepped into a new role as Head of Brand Purpose and Communications at JENNY BIRD. This next chapter is especially meaningful because it melds my passions of storytelling, philanthropy, and PR. I’ll continue to elevate brand and founder’s storytelling through media opportunities while advancing brand credibility.

Additionally, I’ll be working to scale awareness and visibility around our @possibilitiesfund (if you didn’t know, 1% of every purchase gives back to organizations that uplift women) and its impact, while building relationships with our charitable partners and our mentorship programming.

I’m incredibly proud to be part of a brand I deeply believe in. Thank you to @thejennybird @lauraecarinci & @pritkapoor12 ,who have always supported me, pushed me to stretch, and inspired me to do my best work.
