Today is my @ted versary!

On Oct 12th 2023 I stepped onto that iconic 🔴 carpet praying that the previous months of intense preparation would pay off. Thankfully, it did.

In this part of the talk I revealed one of my digital twins. FYI thats not a food baby, I was 5 months pregnant with @thelifentimesofpearl. I was captured in an UHD (ultra high definition) meta scanning chamber with 16 columns and 64 cameras by @metahero_io in Dubai.

My talk was published at the end of February this year and since then it has racked up over half a million views, more than 300 negative comments, about 20 positive ones and 3 hate mails 🤣.

I still fervently believe in the magic and potential of #digitalfashion .

Talking about the journey of my immaculate conception 😜 and the relatively immanent birth of my baby is more emotional than I could have ever imagined.

Deciding and actually embarking on independent motherhood and IVF has been a very non-linear path.

I think that once Baby G materialises IRL safety and happily 🙏 I might feel able to share more about my process and perhaps that lived experience might be useful to other women who are also considering it.

Until then, even sharing and writing this makes me well up .

The top photograph is one that I took the day I had my first ever appointment at the fertility clinic. I was super nervous and just as I was leaving my house I looked up at the sky and I was like ‘whaaaaaat’ … I saw what looked to me like a wee cloud jelly baby!!

I’m a believer of signs, so seeing this, at that exact moment gave me a reassuring warm feeling that somehow, someday things were going to be ok.

Fast forward to this summer and the bottom image is my 20 week scan photo (with Baby G kinda looking like it’s indulging in some early smoking activity 🥴).
