LIVE SET up on Soundcloud & YouTube 💫

Those who know me know I love playing with sounds on the deep, dark and gritty side, this is often where I get my catharsis with music and feel the most connected to myself. It also speaks to my rebellious nature. I felt very free to express my sound during this set, the crowd was so receptive to everything and I’m so happy to have it recorded.

Not only is the audio up on SoundCloud, but the live cymatics visuals projected during my set were captured in full by @selfreflectron (Both links in bio.)

Cymatics is the study of visible sound vibrations. When frequencies move through a medium (like water in this case) the vibration organizes the substance into geometric patterns, patterns often found in sacred geometry. These shapes become more complex with higher frequencies. Think of it as sound made visible.

I first discovered cymatics years ago and it shifted how I understood sound and music… not just as something we hear but also something nature expresses. I literally always dreamed of having it projected during one of my sets. Having this set recorded with live cymatics felt like a full-circle moment.

Never mind on the anniversary of the 7th year to the date of meeting Dante (@dasa.musica) & Stacey (@stacedocta) and DJ'ing at their first @spacecamp.events Halloween event (my first ever time DJ'ing live as well!) And a special shout out to @jayfunctionofficial for introducing us!

It was vibes all night with @jayfunctionofficial, @dasa.musica & @alex.jimenez_02 - This was a night to remember 🎃🪩

Thank you so much @spacecamp.events and @citygridwrks for having me at Deep Space Halloween.

📷 @generation.mg thanks for the dope shots 🙏

Almost 4 years ago, @daze.ottawa became a small collective, developed by @anthonycole_ as a way to build and grow the dance music scene in Ottawa.

Today, we have become what we are now, thanks to years of supporters, artists, and friends who believed in us enough to keep us going.

We celebrate our 4th anniversary in Ottawa on June 5 @city_atnight, with a lineup of local artists who have believed in us and the scene.

In perfect timing with her releases on Mango Alley, @amberlongsays is bringing an extended set to @city_atnight on Friday May 8th.

Recently took some time to reflect on the amazing year I had last year. 34 was a wild ride. Those close to me know last year started off quite rough following a huge life change. It was one of the most challenging years of my life, coupled with lots of growth, but it was also the most rewarding musically - I had an incredible year of gigs and new experiences..

I got to ring in the new year with @whiterabbitottawa crew, and warmed up the dancefloor for many talented artists throughout the year:
- @pleasurekraftofficial and @shaydecastro on opening night of @citygridwrks
- A B2B with Ala opening for Azzecca at an @escapademf afterparty turned into a surprise visit from @officialgreenvelvet instead
- @djsydneyblu for her @changethebeatofficial tour with @ephemeradj
- Started @festivalriverside ahead of @tiesto with Ala

Equally grateful for my gigs with local collectives and the local scene who has supported me to grow, including @spacecamp.events, @events.houseofkink & @whiterabbitottawa
Thank you for your trust 🙏

On that note, I started an event series with @alamusicdj called Future Novas focused on amplifying talented local artists and giving them space to erupt, unleashing the force that pushes the underground forward. Loving building something with this beauty of a human! Our next event is this Friday, March 20th at City at Night - @wearefuturenovas

And also built an event series @b4ckroom.ott with fellow creatives/DJ's focused on deep, dark and gritty sounds, long DJ sets and a no phone dancefloor.

Excited to see what 35 has in store!

My @b4ckroom.ott debut was deep, dark, smoky and exactly the journey I was hoping for with @reseter_ofc. Grateful for every dancer who came along for the ride. Till next time 🖤

A big thank you to the staff at @cityannx for supporting our vision.

Happy NYE!! 🍾🥂 If you're staying in tonight and need something to watch and listen to - wether it's a pre-party, main party, or after party, I've got you! If you haven't checked it yet, a live Cymatics recording of my Halloween set is up on YouTube. And Soundcloud if you prefer to just listen. One of my favourites to date!

Follow the link in my bio 🔺

Thanks again to @selfreflectron for capturing the cymatics video, and @generation.mg for the live clip!

Some summer highlights:
▫️Finally started up a passion project in my home that I've been brewing for a while and brought to life with the help of friends and @sokottamusic (coming soon).
▫️Quality time with family and friends
▫️Music festivals and lots and lots of dancing 🪩

This summer I treated myself to a solo trip to my family's cabin in BC and it was the best thing I could have done for myself after a tough start to the year and a huge life change. Nature has a particular power of slowing me down, bringing me back to the basics and quieting my busy mind.

I spent the better part of 3 days at the cabin tuned in to myself and nature around me.. Watching the birds, listening to the trees, floating on the water, watching the sun set behind the mountains and the stars come out. Those moments of intentional presence had a profound effect on me and gave me an overwhelming sense of gratitude for this life I live and the people in it. It's a reminder of how distracted we can be mentally and physically moving through our lives. Even though this year has been the hardest of my life, I still have so much to be grateful for, it's the little things that matter.

Since then, I’ve been trying to create little pockets of presence throughout my week.. Like simply laying down on my carpet and getting out of my head and checking in with my body, or getting out into nature with no distractions.. Working this into my mornings and after work routine, along with healthy phone boundaries, has helped me feel significantly more balanced and grounded when juggling the demands of daily life and my passions/hobbies.

Those little moments may seem small, but they keep reminding me that presence is something I have to keep choosing to stay connected to myself and those around me. I'm so incredibly grateful for this life I'm building, doors that have opened, everyone who has brought joy to every moment and where things are going
