Jonny is a film and TV writer, illustrator, and the New York Times Bestselling author of Goodbye, Again.

He gained over half a million followers on Twitter by sharing thoughts and other musings as the character Jomny Sun, an alien trying to navigate life, love, and loneliness. In 2017, those tweets made him one of Time Magazine’s 25 Most Influential People on the Internet, and Jonny adapted Jomny into his first illustrated novel, Everyone’s a Aliebn When Ur a Aliebn Too.

Jonny’s work was noticed by fans and followers like Lin-Manuel Miranda and Raphael Bob-Waksberg, which led to turns illustrating Miranda’s book, Gmorning, Gnight!: Little Pep Talks for Me and You and writing on Waksberg’s groundbreaking animated TV series, Bojack Horseman. He was also a writer on Mrs. Davis, created by Tara Hernandez and Damon Lindelof and is currently a writer-producer on a new Netflix Original Series.

but writers are currently being squeezed out and it is becoming increasingly more and more difficult to make a living as a writer in the industry — there are fewer jobs with lesser days and lower pay. the exploitation we are facing is the same exploitation that every field is facing, and that is what we are fighting against. #wgastrong
