My first ever written staged play/musical about a Boy who wanted to dream. Full Swing rose to exactly that, an incredible medley of stories, artistry and swing! I’ve spent this whole week digesting how incredibly proud I feel!

From a near impossible suggestion to @mario.a.campanaro four months ago, to bumping into @simonlhardwick outside Liverpool Lime Street to a Jersey audience stood on their feet after every show. It really solidified my belief that the universe will part and make way for the things that should be. When you align so strongly with something, you don’t see obstacles, only solutions.

My love and appreciation is abundant to our INCREDIBLE cast, to my strong, hardy and patient creative team, to @peterjadamson and @james_green_music for the wave of swing music that pumped through the auditorium, to the most incredible band I’ve ever graced the stage with and finally to my incredible parents who not only graced the @jerseyoperahouse stage with me for the first time in 15 odd years but went above and beyond to host, advertise and support the show. Before I embarked on my first round of Festival entries and before Charlie developed his film further we wanted to host our teams that had poured so much into these films to our own private screening at the @genesiscinema. Having Ruby’s film in the line up, as such a huge fan of hers was a huge highlight. Keep watch out for her film and for her in general ❤️

Although I was bricking it, it was incredible to finally share over a year’s worth of work with an audience. I’m sure many of you remember that first feeling but as a new filmmaker it was equally exciting as it was baffling. I’ve never felt more protective about something, it’s crazy.

So proud of what we’ve made and I’ve learnt more in this passed year about an industry that I had a very vague idea of than ever. There’s such a rewarding power in the action of just doing something and learning as you go. It’s very addictive

My biggest thanks to our editor and my right hand guy @josh_woody98 for sticking through the year with some of the most ridiculous WhatsApp voice notes you’ve ever heard

To @charlimackie for lending her unbelievable talent in bringing this film literally to life. Album pending 👀
