Teaching has always been one of the greatest joys of my life. Every year, graduation season arrives, but this year feels especially bittersweet as I say goodbye to my graduating students.

Many of them came to me in middle school, and over the years, I’ve had the privilege of watching them grow—not only as musicians, but as individuals—from teenagers into thoughtful, talented young adults. I have witnessed so many milestones in their music journeys, and cheered them on every step of the way. Now, as they leave for the next chapter of their lives, it feels like watching my own kids leave home.
