For context, my startup @stanforcreators is on a mission to empower anyone to work for themselves.

That mission is deeply personal to me.

As the only child of an immigrant single mom, I did all things society told me would “make me happy”.

I worked nights and weekends to pay off my student loans during college, I coldcalled my way into a job at Goldman Sachs, and even got into Stanford Business School.

All to realize none of that stuff fulfilled me.

I wanted the freedom to pursue my own career, and make my own meaning.

And that’s why I started creating content - and built the very first version of Stan for my own account.

Since then we’ve helped Creators make over $100 MILLION for themselves - and I want that to be $100 Billion one day.

These 6 rules changed the game for us - hoping they help you in your journey!

I know all this AI stuff is overwhelming - I constantly feel like I’m drinking from a firehose, and always behind.

But what I’ve learned is that it’s critical to just put one step in front of the other, and improve everyday.

My hope is that you can take a bit of these tactics (as well as the broader mental model implied) to implement in your own company, to not only accelerate yourself but also your team into making this existential jump.

Your parents probably never told you these 3 financial truths:

1️⃣ Rich people don’t get rich from salaries — they get rich from owning assets.
2️⃣ Get rich quick schemes are almost always scams.

Stay patient. Be prudent. Build for the long term.

2. Make a kill list. Write down everything you did this week. Be brutally honest — 30-40% of it shouldn’t exist. Circle the 1-2 things actually moving the business forward. Automate, delegate, or kill the rest.

3. Build the systems. Take what you don’t want to do, map the workflow, and hand it to an AI agent. One system a week. They compound.
