When the pandemic shook the world, I watched countless souls scurry in fear. I watched my careers vanish seemingly overnight. Schools closed, tours and concerts were canceled, travel was restricted and venues shut down, never to reopen.

Still I wasn't afraid. I didn't cling to the past. I reinvented myself ASAP and rode my @onewheel endlessly until I made a NEW name for myself GLOBALLY. I built a new brand and THEN I implemented youth work, the same mission I've always had.

Circumstances can't stop the monstrous spirit my vessel holds. Evil gon get this "work" regardless, I'm gonna play my part and do what I do best. ALWAYS. I can build or destroy, with ease. I choose to build. Grateful for each breath.

Colossians 3:23-24. I have always been a hard worker.

I have no older siblings, but I do have good friends who God has placed in my life. Men who have made time to correct and uplift me through the many perils that certainly appear on the road to manhood. I don't sulk often, but when I'm in a slump I turn to these men. One of which, sent me this photo. He sent this photo to remind me that I was capable of anything I set my mind to and that I had proven it, time and time again.

When I worked at @Homedepot, I began as a lot associate. I worked endlessly, with zeal and vigor! I helped guests who couldnt lift 80lbs bags of sakrete, I had every license for EVERY #forklift in the building. I could strap anything to the roof of a car with shrink wrap... I was recognized as associate of the month! Of all the departments, all the employees, they saw my #workethic and acknowledged it. I then worked in shipping & receiving, then flooring, then deliveries.

I learned so much about #persistence working at that #Homedepot store and I saw how that company took care of it's employees.

I'm currently building a Summer Concert series in DC and I'm being reminded of the countless tasks I've tackled in life... but I'm grateful for this reminder. Such a soft yet powerful reminder.💐
