In the city the other day with my little granddaughter.
I remember a time when to come out as gay or lesbian basically destroyed your whole life. And perhaps it still does sometimes, and definitely in some places. And I know it's still dangerous to be queer 💔
But. To have any kind of public celebration and acceptance is a huge huge social shift, that I've lived through so that it seems like I'm almost on a different planet than how it was 40 years ago. 🏳️🌈 🏳️⚧️ 💗
That top she's wearing I made 30+ years ago for my son, when 🌈 meant you were a hippie. Yes. And 😊
