Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts is breaking ground on something special.
The Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) Lincoln Center West Initiative will open the campus’s west edge to the neighborhood — new park spaces, the SNF Gardens, and a world-class outdoor performance venue, the Baron Theater, at Damrosch Park. One of New York’s most iconic cultural destinations, getting even better.
Our Jaffe Holden team is on board for acoustics and AV design, adding another chapter to our long history at Lincoln Center, while our JB&B team is handling electrical engineering, including systems assessment and equipment upgrades across the site. Proud to have Mark Holden, Mark Reber, Nicholas Paladino, E.I.T., Benjamin Bausher, CTS-D, and Gabriel Bennett there to mark the moment.
Can’t wait to see this one come to life!

Hard hats on. Barriers down.
This Women in Construction Week, we’re celebrating the talented women who help power our Built Environment teams — and the collaboration that makes great projects possible.
Across JB&B and WorkingBuildings, and throughout Cerami, Jaffe Holden, Longman Lindsey, and Valcoustics, women are contributing to every phase of the work — from building envelope consulting and sustainability strategy to acoustics, vibration, and performance-driven design. Their expertise strengthens our projects, our partnerships, and our industry.
Construction has always been a team effort. The best outcomes happen when diverse perspectives come together — in the field, in design meetings, and around the table with clients. This week, we’re proud to spotlight the women whose skills, leadership, and problem-solving help move our projects forward every day.
To our colleagues across the Built Environment pillar — thank you for the collaboration, innovation, and commitment you bring to the work. Together, we’re building stronger teams and better spaces.

On site at Brigham Young University’s new Arts Building, the sound is starting to take shape. Mark Holden and John Kosco recently conducted an acoustic site visit as this dynamic three-theater venue moves closer to opening later this year.
With construction nearing completion and occupancy planned for fall 2026, the building brings together cinema, film, commercial music, galleries, makerspaces, and a three-story proscenium stage -uniting a wide spectrum of creative disciplines under one roof.
Our team is focused on fine-tuning performance across each space, helping ensure every rehearsal, screening, and show begins with an environment designed to support it. From first note to final curtain, this new arts destination is built to amplify creativity across campus.

Live streaming is now a baseline expectation for performance venues, but success depends on decisions made long before opening night.
As Benjamin Bausher, CTS-D, writes, “Streaming systems must be built into planning and construction, not added later in costly retrofits.” When streaming is coordinated early with acoustics, AV infrastructure, and architectural intent, venues gain flexibility, control costs, and deliver a consistent experience for audiences in the room and online.

A great event venue inside a resort has to strike a careful balance. Big sound and high-energy performances are essential—but so is making sure everything around the venue still works as intended.
At WinStar World Casino Resort, the new 6,500-seat event center was designed to do both. Working closely with the project team, we helped support powerful performances while keeping sound in check across the broader resort environment.
Through collaborative acoustic and audiovisual design, the venue is set up to handle touring productions, amplified sound, and broadcast-ready events—while staying flexible for whatever comes next.
It’s a great example of what happens when teams work together to support performance behind the scenes.

Winter weather has us looking ahead to spring, and projects like the new Brookgreen Gardens Conservatory make that easy. Our team provided acoustic design for the Great Hall and support spaces — including the lobby, catering kitchen, and multipurpose room — paired with collaborative AV design connecting indoor spaces and the outdoor terrace.
The ribbon cutting and grand opening will take place on Monday the 12th in Murrells Inlet, SC — visit brookgreen.org for more information if you’re interested in attending!

As 2025 comes to a close, we’re looking back on a year that never stood still. From site visits and project openings to conferences, client partnerships, and moments of collaboration and celebration, it was a year defined by momentum. Every milestone was driven by teams who showed up with purpose, kept things moving, and turned ideas into impact.

Last month, Mark Reber joined the Wesleyan University community for a celebration that turned the new Fries Arts Building into a lively showcase of student energy. Studios, stages, and common areas came alive with activity that showed how this setting encourages exploration, collaboration, and artistic growth.
Acoustic design played an important supporting role in shaping how these spaces function. Our team developed strategies that support clear communication, manage sound transfer between studios, and create balanced room response for music, theater, and interdisciplinary work. These solutions help students and faculty move confidently across practice rooms, ensemble areas, and performance spaces, and they contribute to a building that strengthens the campus experience through thoughtful planning.

The University of Southern Maine’s new Crewe Center for the Arts officially opened its doors this month, a milestone celebration that drew more than 500 guests. Designed by Perkins Eastman, the 40,000 SF facility establishes USM as Maine’s first All-Steinway college and serves as a dynamic new home for the Osher School of Music and the arts community across Southern Maine.
Our team conducted a final acoustic tuning of the performance spaces and thorough commissioning of AV systems ahead of the opening, a fitting conclusion to a project that harmonizes architecture, acoustics, and artistry. From its 200-seat performance hall with a precisely tuned ceiling to 31 sound-isolated studios, our team designed both the acoustics and AV systems to achieve exceptional clarity, flexibility, and connection — allowing performances, rehearsals, and recordings to be experienced and shared at the highest level. The result is a space that empowers the next generation of artists to create, collaborate, and inspire. Kudos to Mark Holden, John Kosco, Benjamin Bausher, CTS-D, and Russ Cooper on the successful completion of this project!
“My brother Bob and I have always believed that developing artists deserve more than encouragement,” said Dan Crewe, Chair Emeritus of The USM Foundation and Chair of the Crewe Center for the Arts Campaign. “They deserve excellent instruction, spaces worthy of their talent, and a community that believes in them. That’s why the Crewe Center is the fulfillment of the legacy we built together.”

Sound quality is the cornerstone of an unforgettable performing arts experience, from the clarity of a monologue to the dynamic range of a symphony. Achieving the perfect balance is essential, though in many cases achieving that balance can be a challenge due to spatial limitations. Electro-acoustic enhancement systems are an innovative solution that enables venues to optimize soundscapes with precision and flexibility and transform how sound is experienced.
With these sophisticated systems, such as the Meyer Sound Constellation system at Cornish College of the Arts’ Raisbeck Auditorium, the ability to fine-tune sound to suit different performances can be made possible with minimal physical modifications to the venue itself.
