I saw on @nytimes that the resident Henry David Thoreau impersonator at Walden Pond was retiring. As an actor, comedian, and little clown lady who impersonates men sometimes, I thought I'd shoot my shot and throw my expensive @etsy hat in the ring. Why? Because I'm available. I also like ponds, nature, and touching grass. I promise to read his books when on the pond. I'm especially good at learning on the job. Thanks for watching my tape. 🫶

Friends, I am releasing a holiday 🪵 YULE LOG 🪵 on my Youtube page in which I absolutely** read Walden for the very first time

It was about time, and if I’m going to be the next Henry David Thoreau Impersonator at Walden Pond, it might be helpful to know what I’m talking about.

Some takeaways from my first reading:
♋️ - His birthday is July 12th- a Cancer, which is a water sign. He truly is king of the pond.

🏠- He built his own house? And was not very braggy about it!

💸 - And only paid $28 for the materials… 🙃

🙅🏻‍♀️ - Very anti-landlords and mortgages (he knew what the f WAS UP!)

🙏- And a hearty thank you to @etsy for this book! They sent a number of gifts to the pond after our first video. I will have to do a video on that in the future.

📖- Because we got the book used, a very smart person who owned the book before me highlighted their favorite lines. This was VERY helpful for my ADHD 😌

So for now, gather, warm yourselves, may your spirits be merry and bright. And rest my friends. Rest and self care is a radical act! And our Yule Log exists as an act of defiance.
