Is it indecent to post a photo of the inside of your electrical panel? Well I’m breaking all of the taboos today. Also, go read my new piece over on substack. Link is in my bio in case you’re too lazy to type www.unflappable.blog into your browser, or type “unflappable substack” into your search.

Very pleased with how our new bookshelves look. Blows my mind we still have even more stacks that are unshelved. Next step: cataloging and organizing 🤓Did the design work myself and sourced the aluminum parts from @modernshelving

Every time I post on instagram I’m reminded of how tedious and annoying it is, which is why all of the interesting stuff I work on is elsewhere, like on substack. Soon though, I’ll have an AI do this shit for me, to remind all of you to click a link and read a thing.

Oh look what we have here. Pretty sure this is the only bookstore where you’ll find a copy of Unflappable, but it’s also arguably the best, so there’s that.

There’s a lot to look forward to in this new year, even as instability and chaos dominate the news cycle. I encourage you to read my newest piece over on unflappable.blog. Cheers!

When I first met my editor, I had an intuition that we would work well together. That gut feeling was completely right and guided my decision to hire her.

I had a similar feeling when I met Jacob. I’ve been trying to find a collaborator for years, someone to write with and follow narrative threads just to see where they lead, someone who is enthusiastic about storytelling.

This interview was great fun. Expect to see more from Jacob very soon.

Exciting things are happening—come join Team Unflappable if you haven’t already!

I have such mixed feelings about all of the self-promotion, constantly nudging people to read and review my book, participating in the attention economy through ad buys, which feels more like roulette (I’m working on a Substack piece about all of this, so stay tuned).

So consider this a reminder that taking 5-10 minutes to write a review—it does in fact help. I hope 🤞 Please: go feed the hungry Amazon algorithm when you have a moment. And thank you to everyone who has already done this.

I’ve had a few people reach out to me directly, offering their reactions to the book, which has been heartwarming; I’m reminded very clearly that storytelling and reading change how we think and broaden our perspectives. The other day, I woke up to see this email from Dr. Sutton. I’m so glad he is a part of this story too.
