Just got the TLM103 from @neumann.berlin and the new @sennheiser HD480 Pro headphones.

I think this could be the closest I’ve got to capturing what this guitar sounds like in the room. I didn’t expect that to come from the TLM103 but there’s something about the slight presence lift it brings that translates so well thru the speakers. It’s also a really manageable size for an LDC so it’s easy to place without being in the way.

HD480s came at the perfect time as I am already using the open back HD490s for mixing and these feel like a seamless transition for tracking. As a hat wearer they are also the most comfy I’ve used🧢
