Massimo has spent more than 35 years listening to wood: its grain, its weight, its memory. At Il Borro, he crafts most of the furniture you see around the estate entirely by hand, each piece a quiet conversation between maker and material.
Some of his works begin as wine barrels. Once they’ve held their last harvest, he gives them a second life: shaped into something new, something lasting.

May is here, and so is the hum of 50 hives waking up across our 1,100-hectare organic reserve. Our bees do what they do best: turning the wildflowers of Tuscany into pure organic honey, one drop at a time, while carrying out the precious work of pollinators to support the ecosystem.
