Some may have noticed my posting, and message responses, have been very sporadic since December-ish. I just wanted to post and say hello again, spring has come and the light is helping.

Like many many people right now, life has felt very overwhelming to me. I also had a series of events for several months that took a lot of my therapized brain to tackle “right” and it left so little space for social media… combined with the increasingly horrifying revelations about the apps we all use every day. (Meanwhile, whatever the fuck is happening with this late-stage capitalist cesspool-mud-pit we’re luxuriating in makes me want to vomit.) How do I run my business if Instagram makes me (apparently on purpose) feel bad? How do I keep going when I feel like dolls are the absolute last thing we need right now? Is it even worth it to keep going? Can I do anything else well? (What am I doing with my life?!) blah blah blah etc etc

I’m pretty sure if you meet me I’m really transparent about my mental health struggles but I don’t love posting about it. Most recently my grandma passed away, last weekend we held her memorial here in Portland. She was an integral figure in my life and now that she and my grandpa have passed my life looks just… a bit different. I miss them so fucking bad.

I’m sad, I’m full of rage, but I’m also grateful for the life I live and that I get to make things all day. Meanwhile my dogs are cute and my roses are gorgeous. Life is so fucking weird and I hope you’re well. 💖
