Sportswear portrait, 2025
Colour Pencil on Paper, 150 mm x 240 mm
I aim to challenge the traditionally hyper masculine, heteronormative, and nationalist symbols found within sportswear garments through a self portrait that eroticises myself wearing them. This work emerges from my own complex relationship with sports, especially growing up queer. At the same time reflecting on a nuanced distinction between my national vs cultural identity, as someone who is half english, a product of multiculturalism and anti-nationalist.
(I have had to censor my drawing at the risk of instagram removing my post)
But if you would like to come and see this artwork in it’s full glory, I’ll be exhibiting it on saturday 11th april at AAJA basement for Swarm Signals fundraising techno event in aid of @mermaidsgender 🏳️⚧️<3

A few images from the past three weeks working with @camberwellual and @nationalgallery to facilitate a collaborative drawing project with BA Drawing students from first, second, and third year.
We explored different ways of responding to the collection through observation & drawing, engaging directly with the works and the surrounding environment of The National Gallery.

Challengers (2024)
Colour pencil & marker on paper, 62 mm x 125 mm
A small experimental piece introducing alcohol-based markers as an underpainting for my colour pencil work. I wanted to imbue the image with a richness of tone, resulting in a more intentional approach when carving out lighter tones amongst shadows. I have drawn a frame from Luca Guadagnino’s Challengers, depicting a moment of burgeoning sexuality between the two male protagonists as they share their first kiss.

Boys Kissing, 2026
Colour pencil on paper, 95 mm x 170 mm
I have taken reference from a vintage gay magazine, homaging queer culture that precedes me through the act of replication and transformation. I aim to memorialise queer erotic history through the process of drawing, redefining the imagery of gay porn as a site of tenderness and connection.

Two small orginal works that I donated & sold at @acapeckham’s Art for Aylesham fundraiser at SET social Peckham⭐
Both colour pencil drawings measure roughly around 100 mm x 200 mm, loosely based on references from a vintage porno mag I found in an antique market from my time in Madrid. I’m very thrilled to have sold these little pieces <3
