This year, my sister and I decided to start working on something very special to us. A personal project documenting my dad’s journey as a father, entrepreneur, and human being.
For years, I’ve wanted to capture my dad’s story, even if it was just through audio recordings, simply so we could always hear his voice in the future and have his story archived for our family. Over time, that idea slowly evolved into creating a documentary together.
Earlier this year, when we went back to Cyprus, we spent two days documenting the beginning of it all. The project is still in its very early stages, but during those two days, something really unexpected happened. For the first time in our lives, my sister and I got to truly hear my dad’s story from start to finish.
We went all the way back to the 80s, hearing about his journey, the ambitions he had, the achievements, the struggles, and so many moments we never even knew about. Some parts are deeply personal to our family and will stay private, but just listening to his perspective and the path he walked in life was honestly emotional and intense in a way we didn’t expect.
I think those conversations brought us even closer to both our father and mother. It gave us a completely different understanding of who they are beyond just being “parents.”
There is still so much more to uncover. Old tapes, photographs, archives, and memories that we’ve barely scratched the surface of. So for now, we put together a small trailer to share a glimpse of what this documentary is about and what we’ve been working on.
This is a work in progress with no real deadline. Just something that means a lot to us, and something we want to continue building over time.
About seven years ago, I filmed a band’s live session in the mountains of Barcelonnette, France. I spent four days there, and it felt like living inside a fantasy.
The experience of nature was grounding and inspiring. We filmed a few acoustic sessions and a mini documentary. Many shots never made the final cut. Even now, I still find these shots beautiful, and I wanted to highlight them.

Tested out a cooking video idea for fun. Main focus was not only to get it somewhat visually decent for socials but also experimenting with sound and music to give the video piece some weight to it.
Initially I was suppose to make lunch and that was it but decided to pickup my camera instead lol. Ended up eating cookies through the day just to film this haha 😭
