Happy first day of World Breastfeeding Week. For those of you that don’t know, I have been involved in a bit controversy on @twitch — I breastfed my daughter last week live on my stream. I have been ridiculed, shamed and threatened because of this one event. I honestly didn’t think we needed to #normalizebreastfeeding in 2019. I was so wrong. Months ago when I shot this collection with Bryce and Laura, it seemed like a cool, artistic way to display a variety of breastfeeding mothers. But now these photosmean so much more to me after everything I’ve gone through this past week. I feel SO empowered by this collection. I am proud to represent all moms in this movement and I will do what I can to be a voice for you (or a story you can show to someone in an attempt to justify your own breastfeeding because unfortunately that still has to be done it seems). ⁣

To all the moms that have reached out to me because you were shamed by a family member for breastfeeding or in public by a stranger, I stand with you. I have your back. I am here for you. Please reach out to me if you ever need support. I wouldn’t have been able to get through some of the past few days without some of the badass women that came to my rescue when I was being attacked. ⁣

Thank you @bangstyle for this feature. You have no idea how many mothers you are helping! And thank you @hairzillaa for envisioning this amazing collection months ago... I am consistently inspired by you in so many ways... thank you @karynaomura for the beautiful makeup and last, but not least thank you to @brycechapmanphoto you are one of the most amazing photographers and humans I know! ⁣

At the age of 30, I left an abusive marriage and I was lost…I had never even lived by myself. If someone would’ve told me three years later I would come out the other side and book my dream campaign with @honeybirdette shot by the legend herself @ellenvonunwerth ... I would've laughed? cried? been in total shock + denial? And yet, here I am. Life can feel so overwhelming, especially, when you have to fight the victim mindset to heal your soul. But, the moment you realize it really all happens for you to come out the other end even better than before, everything really starts to click into place and make sense. Were there dark moments? Yes! There were plenty of days where I laid in bed and just cried. But, I kept showing up for myself daily even if it was something small. A lot of the days I felt like I was doing it wrong, but I kept living. The past three years have been intense but transformative. I am grateful for the experiences that have ignited my inner light and filled me with excitement for the amazing things the universe has in store for ME AND for YOU too! If you are going through it, don’t give up! We are here to live…even when it’s hard and painful. There is no one-size-fits-all solution or timeline. It requires time and, most importantly, mastering your mind and understanding that you are the creator of your reality. If this concept doesn't resonate with you now (because it didn’t resonate for me then the way it does now) just keep showing up for yourself each day. Take moments of silence to go within and quiet the thoughts that try to hold you back. Remember that you are not your thoughts, especially the negative ones about yourself. Eventually you’ll look back to see how everything serves you in the long run. I assure you that the universe loves you and wants you to achieve your wildest dreams. So incredibly grateful for this opportunity and meeting these incredible souls. I'll cherish this memory forever.

I got a handpan a few months ago and have been meaning to learn to play, but there’s always something else that I have to do so I never seem to find the time … until this weekend. Since it’s Mother’s Day, I decided to just do whatever I wanted. So, I played the handpan all weekend. And as I was exploring the different sounds the pan makes this little song came through… 🥹 honestly creating it felt like something shifted inside of me. It was so wonderful. Unlike anything else I’ve created and felt. So grateful. Thank you God 🙏

I want to learn how to do a pull up. I have practically zero upper body strength. My bestie lesleykoppert is a pull up queen and told me if I wanted to learn how to do a pull up…I have to practice (haha shocker) 😂 So, here’s my day 1 of practicing my pull up. Let’s see how long it takes me to be able to do this unassisted 👀
