My mom had a million of them! Sharp, funny, and usually delivered at exactly the right moment. The last words my mom ever spoke to me were:

“Suck it up, buttercup.”

Honestly? That one liner somehow captured my mother’s spirit, resilient, practical, strong, and always challenging me to be the same.

On the hard days, when all I want is my mom, I still hear her voice in my head saying it. Thanks, mom… it still works. 💛
