Saying goodbye to a parent is never easy. I have had a complicated past with mine, and haven’t had much contact over the past 18 years.

Yesterday, my mother passed. I was fortunate enough to be able to have a conversation with her and say goodbye. In the end, she let me know that she loved me and just wanted me to be happy.

She may be gone, but I still have my memories of how she never met an angora sweater she didn’t like, the smell of her favourite Mugler Angel perfume, her enormous laugh, and how she was always singing. She is the person who gave me my love of fashion, which turned into a career.

I only wish we could have been in each other’s lives, and I could have had more angora hugs.

She will be missed, but her presence will always be felt. 💕

🌈🌈Happy Pride from these 2 exhausted gays that have spent the last 2 days organizing, packing, purging, cleaning, and sorting. Our best laid plans to be social were waylaid by our need to be ready for the movers bright and early at 9am Monday morning.

Today I lost a giant piece of my heart. Rocco, was my child, my sidekick, my familiar, and like an appendage. He touched a lot of lives, and was a legend. I will miss him every day, but know he is crossing over and being met with even more love. Pour one out for the Roc, because that’s how he would have wanted it.🥀💕🐾✨

Last week I had the privilege of meeting with Jamelia Gregory who was able to connect me with my brother one more time. It was like having a weight lifted, and now, on the anniversary of his passing, I am grateful, for the protection he has brought over the years, and just the knowledge that I have never been alone. I miss him, but now have the affirmation that has always been, and always will be by my side.💕
