10 years ago, the making-of feature for SCULPT offered a behind-the-scenes look at the production of the film—shot over a period of 23 months—that would soon become a cinematic phenomenon in its own right. At the time, LACMA (Los Angeles County Museum of Art) hosted Loris Gréaud’s first exhibition on the West Coast of the United States: the film was screened in the Bing Theater, reconfigured to accommodate a single viewer at a time, before vanishing in September 2016 and joining the Voodoo Spiritual Temple in New Orleans.

Il y a 10 ans, le making of de SCULPT laissait entrevoir les coulisses de la réalisation du film (tourné sur une période de 23 mois) qui deviendrait bientôt un phénomène cinématographique à part entière. Le LACMA (Los Angeles County Museum of Art) accueillait alors la 1ère exposition de Loris Gréaud sur la côte Ouest des États-Unis : le film était diffusé dans le Bing Theater reconfiguré pour un seul spectateur à la fois, avant de s’évanouir en septembre 2016, pour rejoindre le Voodoo Spiritual Temple à la Nouvelle-Orléans.

De 2014 à 2016, Claude Parent et Loris Gréaud ont entre autres élaboré des formes, imaginé une architecture mentale ou encore produit des maquettes à la croisée de la sculpture et de l’architecture, jusqu’à la réalisation du « Workshop », distingué par Wallpaper* comme l’une des plus belles constructions brutalistes existantes. Fort de ce travail, Loris Gréaud a prélevé des éléments originaux assemblés avec l’architecte de son vivant pour produire le trophée qui récompensera le lauréat de chaque future édition du Prix Claude Parent pour l’architecture transgressive.
Une exposition et un documentaire « Un Univers Fluide » auront lieu par la suite afin de mettre en lumière toutes les facettes de cette collaboration fructueuse intervenue entre les deux hommes.

From 2014 to 2016, Claude Parent and Loris Gréaud, among other things, developed forms, conceived a mental architecture, and produced models at the intersection of sculpture and architecture, culminating in the creation of the “Workshop,” recognized by Wallpaper* as one of the most beautiful existing Brutalist structures. Building on this work, Loris Gréaud selected original elements assembled with the architect during his lifetime to create the trophy that will be awarded to the winner of each future edition of the Claude Parent Prize for Transgressive Architecture.
An exhibition and a documentary titled “A Fluid Universe” will follow, highlighting all aspects of this fruitful collaboration between the two men.

𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗮𝗴𝗼, for 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗻𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁, the mythical Théâtre du Châtelet invited the public in for free and played to a sold-out crowd.
An unlikely rumor that had been circulating since the “Nuits Corticales” at the Petit Palais, the opus 𝘾𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡 𝙋𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙚, orchestrated by Loris Gréaud with the legendary band The Residents, gave rise to a true collective hallucination. A radical and fleeting moment for a previously unreleased track written and composed specifically for the project, played only once: a snowstorm in the auditorium, black cocktails in the foyers, and the roots of a living organism to grow at home...
... a mirage that resurfaces like a haunting ode and will soon be on display for 𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 at the MAH (musée d’art et d’histoire de Genève), curated by Marc-Olivier Wahler.
