There is no denial about how modernized cannabis is becoming. From designer weed, diamond-crested pipes to apple store-esque dispensaries, cannabis is certainly making traction in normalization.

We can learn a lot from prohibition and the re-legalization of alcohol. Ultimately, the re-legalization was an economic decision. Just as the legalization of cannabis buzzing around today, we believe the rest of the states will follow suit.

In the midst of the Great Depression, Franklin D. Roosevelt repealed the amendment, famously saying, “I think this would be a good time for a beer.”

Alcohol was once considered to be one of the worst mind-altering substances, hence the prohibition era. But the denial of access brought more negative impacts than anyone could have imagined. Crime rates rose along with racial inequality.

Someday, cannabis will be as accessible and normal, but always regulated. We will look back on this emerging era as we do now on the prohibition era. Until then, we will continue to de-stigmatize this medicinal plant and educate the masses on it’s healing benefits.

It’s estimated that the government could generate $86 BILLION in federal tax revenue between 2019 and 2025 by legalizing cannabis in ALL 50 states for medical and adult/recreational use*.

As of now, only 10 out of the 52 states have fully legalized the use of cannabis (no doctor recommendation required). People are still being incarcerated for cannabis use on a federal level and yet the States who have legalized cannabis use are collecting tax revenue.

This is why we consider this industry to be such a gray area. With our collective national debt over $8.1 TRILLION, do you think the other states will FULLY legalize cannabis use to aid in our national deficit?

Who else has felt Instagram’s wrath? Their new policies, algorithms and reduced engagement/visibility has the cannabis community dazed and confused.

Instagram and other social media platforms are truly in control of fair competition and act as a separate government nowadays. When they delete a page - it is unjust for small businesses and influencers as they usually do so with no explanation or rules to prevent in the future. This gray area must change.

CBD or THC?

In short, THC has many health benefits but has mind-altering effects that aren’t preferred by everyone.

CBD offers many of the same benefits as THC without inducing its psychoactive ‘mind-altering’ effects. We are beginning to see a lot of new CBD products introduced such as tinctures, balm, gummies, tooth paste, CBD joints and even CBD water (& so much more).

CBD is still in the gray area due to unclear laws and its close relationship with THC, but from a legal perspective, it’s much safer to use CBD because it is known as the non psychoactive alternative.

THC and CBD will effect everyone differently but it really comes down to if you want a mind-altering experience or not. However, both THC and CBD have many of the same health benefits which include: pain relief, reducing anxiety/depression, clearing acne and even promoting heart health through balancing cortisol levels.
