Kamyia Wilson is the founder of The Gracey Foundation, a community based organization dedicated to supporting youth ages 10-18 who have been impacted by loss, incarceration, or the absence of a parent. Through mentorship, mental health support, public speaking opportunities, and community centered programming. After losing her father, “Gracey” at a young age, Kamyia became deeply committed to creating spaces for young people to feel seen, supported, and empowered through their own experiences with grief, loss,etc. She works to create safe spaces where young people can heal, grow, and discover their purpose. As a passionate leader and advocate, Kamyia is committed to amplifying unheard voices, inspiring resilience, and equipping youth with the confidence and tools needed to build brighter futures.

As we step into this new year, we are filled with excitement and gratitude for what’s ahead. The Gracey Foundation is looking forward to another year of meaningful impact, community connection, and growth. We have a variety of fun, engaging volunteer opportunities and community-centered events planned that will allow us to continue serving, uplifting, and empowering those around us.

This year is all about expanding our reach, strengthening partnerships, and creating memorable experiences for our volunteers, supporters, and the communities we serve. From hands-on service projects to educational and cultural events, we’re excited to build spaces where everyone can give back and grow together.

We’re also thrilled to share that we’re kicking off the year with brand-new Gracey Foundation business cards, making it easier than ever to connect, collaborate, and spread the mission wherever we go. We can’t wait to see what this year holds and are so excited to have our community alongside us every step of the way.

At The Gracey Foundation, we are dedicated to advancing community education and outreach initiatives designed to expand access to resources, foster civic engagement, and strengthening our community through meaningful impact.

Children explore the Civil Rights Movement through the eyes of youth activists from historic protests to present-day social justice movements. Program activities will include provoking conversations, film screenings, musical performances, and family-friendly activities inspired by the museum’s Kid Zone, an interactive exhibit dedicated to children and families.
Students will have the opportunity to hear directly from influential guest presenters, including former child civil rights activists, educators, judges, and modern youth organizers who continue to advocate for justice and equity💚
