Visual artist specializing in contemporary and traditional printmaking, and book arts

This is long overdue but I needed some space/recovery since the McKnight reception and artist talk events. I just wanted to say thank you. I have felt so supported by my family, friends, neighbors and peers during the McKnight Printmaking Fellowship. It has been highly personal and vulnerable work, and your support meant so much to me. I was completely buoyed, delighted and surprised at how many family and friends showed up to these events—thank you to wyatt, one of my forever supporters, for organizing that surprise. Eventually and slowly I will share this work on my website. The video of the artist talk/discussion I had with co-fellow Fidencio Fifield-Perez was amazing, here is a link to view it: https://youtu.be/A8lgjY4HF34

I invite you to view the result of a year’s worth of full effort in my upcoming McKnight Printmaking Fellow exhibition, showing at Highpoint Center For Printmaking. It features a suite of collagraphs that incorporate chine-colle, letterpress printing and hand embroidery, as well as a paper sculpture and video of an artist book, which will be on display.
This work documents what grief and loss can look like in Motherhood or Parenthood: of hopes of having a child, of a child since grown, and the loss of a child.
The tremendous work of what Fidencio Fifield-Perez made during his McKnight fellowship will also be on exhibition.
Exhibition on view: March 7 - April 19, 2025
Opening Reception: Friday, March 7; 6:30 - 9pm
Public Conversation moderated by Teréz Iacovino: Saturday, March 15; 5 - 6pm

Thank you to everyone who made it out to my smallest exhibition date, “Everything Counts”, held at the Dinky Exchange Gallery in Cambridge, UK! Comprised of small letterpress die-cuts, the show was a celebration of the season but more importantly to celebrate the value in all art forms and in craft. I gave a top shelf impromptu artist talk and guests enjoyed some Prosecco and chocolate. Thanks for making it out!

What a pleasure it was to teach my chine-colle/drypoint workshop at Highpoint Center For Printmaking again this weekend! The students did so well learning multiple techniques: drypoint on plexi, traditional chine-colle, chine-colle using a backing plate for non-intaglio print techniques, as well as custom shapes! Thanks as always, to my assistant @busybee.art.mn Megan! Well done everyone
