As families prepare for the Memorial Day travel weekend, they shouldn’t feel blindsided by prices at the gas pump. With our partners in the legislature, we’ve remained committed to giving hardworking Georgians relief wherever able, and this extension is another fulfillment of that promise.

On Peace Officers Memorial Day, we remember and honor those who have fallen in the line of duty. Their bravery and the lasting impact of their sacrifices continue to inspire us as we pray for their families and fellow officers.

As we commemorate National Police Week and prepare to observe Peace Officers Memorial Day tomorrow, I am ordering flags to be lowered in honor of all the brave law enforcement who have sacrificed so much to protect others. Please keep all public safety officers in your prayers as they keep our communities safe.

Today I signed my last budget as Georgia’s 83rd governor, and I’m proud it accounts for the latest tax cuts we’ve secured for the hardworking people of our state.

With our partners in the General Assembly, we have remained good stewards of taxpayer money while making historic investments in the assets that make us the best place to live, work, and raise a family.

Georgia’s world class workforce is a big reason why job creators keep choosing our state. Today, I proudly signed legislation that further strengthens that workforce pipeline so we remain the best place for opportunity well into the future!
