💔RIP to the sweetheart tub—its original home at Pocono Palace Resort is closing.
The first six tubs were handmade in 1963 by their inventor, Morris Wilkins, who also brought us the champagne glass whirlpool tub. Humanity truly doesn’t deserve the bounty this legendary love hotelier left behind.
In the king’s own words: “I felt that the bathroom was the great neglected honeymoon accommodation. There was already action in the bedroom, but I thought there could be action in the bathroom, too.”

"The monolithic state of the art bathroom of Pink Pale Hue onyx can be admired from different angles as a sculpture. This playful installation designed by @sabinemarcelis seems to glow from within and every element of the bathroom has been meticulously taken into account by the designer who has created a breathtaking piece where form and function cohexists.
"The approach was really to not think of it as a room, but more as an object that has all the functionings you would find in a bathroom all together in one. The bathroom is a composition of different volumes meeting each other and each volume has a specific function. And in those intersections where the volumes come together the Onyx plays a really important role with letting the lights through in these corners to create these delicate moments of illumination."
