This is my upgraded wedding day experience that includes my baseline bridal makeup service, plus upgraded skincare and 3 hours of extended touch-ups after standard makeup services are complete.

The upgraded skincare includes a hydrating sheet mask and a 5-minute cooling facial massage 💆🏻‍♀️

The extended touch-up hours are designed to last through your first look, photos, and ceremony, with the last touch-up happening during cocktail hour before you head into your reception (maxed at 3 hours past the standard makeup timeline) 📸

Send this to someone who struggles with lip liner 👄🙌🏼

If you’ve ever gotten your makeup done by me, you’ve heard me say “lips are my favorite part,” “the lips just MAKE IT,” “makeup isn’t done until it’s done and the lips pull it all together” probably 500 times lolllllll but IT’S TRUE 😍

And, if your lip liner isn’t right, your lipstick and gloss aren’t going to feel right either. The keys are:
🔑 A sharp lip liner for precision
🔑 A smooth formula that glides across the lips without catching or skipping
🔑 Overlining in the center of the lips for volume, but following the natural lip line in the corners (again, for precision)

I love to use a slightly darker liner for definition and then a lighter lipstick and gloss for brightness and dimension. And you can’t beat these $7 lip liners from @morphebrushes if you’re just starting to learn how to do your makeup and want to play around with colors!

Takeaways to make sure clients with skin concerns feel comfortable in the makeup chair ⬇️

1️⃣ The bride checked with me ahead of time to make sure that I had non-comedogenic complexions products in my kit. This was huge, because it allowed me to double-check everything before I was under a time crunch on the wedding day. Most complexion products these days are non-comedogenic formulas, but not always, so it’s always a good idea to check!

2️⃣ Yardyn (our beauty queen in this vid) really knew her skin and her beauty products. It’s extremely helpful when a client with skin concerns is already knowledgeable about what’s in cosmetic products and what she can and can’t use. This is because, again, it eliminates guesswork when we’re on a time crunch. She did her own skin prep and already knew that it would do well under makeup, which saved us a lot of time!

3️⃣ This is such a great reminder to slowwwwwwww it down and actually talk to each client before going right in with the makeup. Yes, we have a schedule to keep. But I’m a huge proponent of scheduling an extra 5-10 minutes with each person so that these meaningful conversations can happen without rushing.

Unfortunately, I hear about bad prior experiences with makeup artists who didn’t listen quiteeeeee a lot from brides, bridesmaids, and moms in my chair. But, look at how happy we can makethem when we actually take the time to acknowledge, listen to, and work through their concerns 🥹🫶🏼

At the end of the day, we’re providing a service, and this is what client service is all about 🖤
