Let me just be so for real about my Mother’s Day…
It started great! Coffee, church with the fam, yummy lunch, Braves on the back porch and a nap. But the second half…the second half looks a little like this.
For 2.5 hours now, I’ve been fighting a gnarly gas bubble. So bad, I’ve had to stop myself self from throwing up. Standing up makes me nauseous and lightheaded because it hurts so bad. I’ve taken meds, laid on my stomach (that makes me cry), laid on my side, held my knees, rocked on my knees on the floor…all my tricks and nothing. It’s just now out of my upper abdomen, but it’s still there and it still hurts.
Social media can make people feel less than or unloved or unseen on days like today, so I just want to keep it real. I’m celebrated but I’m also not feeling it. And it’s ok.

Ok I feel comfortable updating on the biopsy now that I’ve spoken with my team…NO REJECTION! Barb is good, and I’m good. We’re going to look at doing some med adjustments to keep it as such, but overall, the biopsy found nothing concerning.
So now we just keep going how we have and live life! Praising God for his continued protection!
Barb was missing the transplant wing, so we decided to swing on by for a little 24 hour staycation!!
Having to do another biopsy. Doctor is just being super cautious (we LOVE a cautious doctor) because of some labs over the last 4ish months. Believing this is like last time and Barb and I are fine! But please pray and send the good juju, and believe for the same thing with me!
I love this girl more than anything! This weekend in one of our favorite cities was EXACTLY what I need headed into a busy season!

Today is my last day on all the socials till March.
Every year, our church participates in Awaken, which is a month of fasting from something to lean harder into God when we crave what we’re fasting from. Since fasting from food, for any period, isn’t feasible for me, I’ve chosen to fast from social media. Before I fall asleep tonight, I will delete all the apps off my phone. I won’t have access to any of it. And I couldn’t be more excited.
My heart has been pulled in so many directions with the state of our country. I’m exhausted from all the division, the hate rhetoric, the threats, but most of all, the inability to have civil conversations and allow people to have their own points of view without labeling them or insulting them in some way because you disagree. It hurts. It’s disheartening. And it’s taking up too much space in my world and I’m just done.
So, I’m going to take the month of February (maybe longer) and pray. I’m going to pray for our country. I’m going to pray for our leaders. I’m going to pray for the division. But most of all, I’m going to pray for a solution. That’s all I know to do right now.
I’ll catch up on everyone and everything today, but from there, you’re gonna have to text me or message me. ✌🏼🫶🏼
