Tomorrow - Sunday 27th - on closing day of FBBB, Lisa Waup’s ‘sea-ing Country’ will fly from PortseaParagliding launch pad, ( Farnsworth Trak) from midday to dusk.

The work can be viewed from either sky or shore but after all, you only live once – take flight!

Waup’s performance work embodies the concept of land, water and sky as a single cultural landscape. She asks us to rethink how we search for and engage with objects in space and in particular what floats above us. These intricate designs float and bend with the wind, whilst her patterns visually reference water reverberation.

In the bunkers at Cheviot Hill, Monmar, Anna Breckon and Nat Randall take us back to December 1967, inviting us to reflect on the affective logics of historical record, monument and news event.

Don't miss the final screenings of 'On Record' on Saturday 26 & Sunday 27 November, from 11.30am to 6.30pm inside the Cheviot Hill bunker.

Please note, the recorded audio in this video is not part of the artwork.

Audio: ABC News, PM Harold Holt Feared Drowned (1967)

Though wind and rain prevailed last weekend, as did Shane McGrath's installation for 'Reservoir by the Sea'. In this video, you can also hear the Dutch Choir, who gave a special performance as part of the work on Saturday 19 November.

On our final weekend, you can still experience the audio component of 'Reservoir by the Sea', which will be played from 8.00am – 10:00am & 4:00pm- 8.00pm daily at the beach boxes, located near the Rosebud Bowling Club. Learn more // www.fbbb.com.au

This weekend, a rare opportunity presents to soar above the rugged Mornington Peninsula coastline, lifted on wings designed by Lisa Waup (@lisa.waup). This artwork ‘sea-ing Country’ can be viewed from either sky or shore but after all, you only live once – take flight!

To register your interest, head to ‘Tandem Paragliding’ on our Events page. This work is weather-dependent, and our team will call you to arrange a flight time and location at Portsea or Flinders.

She asks us to rethink how we search for and engage with objects in space and in particular what floats above us. Geoff Robinson's work Durational Situation / Monmar takes audiences on a 40-minute guided audio walk through listening to the ecology, waters, and transformations of Monmar across time. The walk focuses on the deep time and anthropogenic relations of the Peninsula; traversing a remnant Moonah tree woodland valley from the Bay side and moving through the recent histories and interventions to the ocean side. The recorded sounds and narration allude to moments in time, juxtaposing and complicating histories, and untangling contemporary narratives through listening and embodied experience.

As part of this work, a live performance will occur onsite at Monmar at 11.00am and 2.00pm on Saturday 26 November.

To experience the recorded audio for Durational Situation / Monmar, bring your own device and headphones to the site at any time of day. Find the purple FBBB sign next to Cheviot Hill bus stop, and start playing the audio as you begin to walk down the Happy Valley walking track to your left. Along with the main audio walk there is a Wheelchair accessible/light walk iteration for the Point Nepean bus and a Deaf and hard of hearing captioned video and haptic iteration. All iterations with instructions can be accessed in Location Content when arriving at Point Nepean, Monmar.

Throughout her practice Taree Mackenzie explores the perceptual effects of colour, light and space. 'Coloured windows: cyan, magenta and yellow' is a subtle intervention within a rich visual landscape, with colour playfully employed to prompt audiences to consider the historical military functionality of the Eagle's Nest Gunnery Bunker.

Nestled atop the hill, at one of the highest points of Point Nepean National Park, Eagle's Nest faces outwards towards Bass Strait. The disintegrating concrete structure is perched next to a battery which, when constructed in 1889, housed the largest disappearing gun in the country boasting a 270 degree firing line - built in response to an intense sequence of war scares in the nineteenth century. Mackenzie's artificial, brightly coloured perspex windows stand in opposition to the subdued tones, brutalist architectural form and military nature of this site.

You can visit 'Coloured windows: cyan, magenta and yellow' anytime day or night until Sunday 27 November.
