Our state is considering allowing washington state cities and counties to choose ranked choice voting!HB2210 would be a great boon for voters in thr state.

The benefit of ranked choiceis that it allows people to vote for their preference instead of voting defensively, better reflecting the commuity’s preferences. Badically, you rank all the candidates in order of preference.

Celebrating the solstice and the slow return of the sun ❤️

I think the version of Ozzy you choose for his posthumous picture says something about you. I’m not sure what it says but….I’m always gonna choose the pretty young Ozzy with the big eyes. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Mostly because i was so shocked the first time i saw puctures of him young as i was most familiar with the drug bloated bad hair Ozzy of the mid 80s. 😂

I think it is actually pretty cool that he seems to have checked out on his own terms so swiftly post retirement.

Today my class visited the Jardin Botánico in Chapultepec. It was beautiful! There were many turtles, chiles, cactus and nopales!I learned the name Chapultepec is because there used to be tons of grasshoppers! In class, my team wasn’t last in the group exercise. So, I’d call it a success.

Today in class we visited the jardín escénico and a bird aviary in the Polanco neighborhood of CDMX. It is a very fancy, modern part of the city. It was quite nice but lacks the unique Mexican feel that other areas have.i am terrible about taking pictures generally but i had to take pictures of the birds because they are very cute. ❤️

I get that not everybody feels the same way I do about a great deal of things but I would hope that most everybody in the US cares about protecting the constitution and some of the fundamentals of our way of government. If not because they care about others - at least because they care about themselves.

Due process and the ability to have a lawyer and a day in court to present your case is absolutely fundamental.This is at risk - RIGHT NOW TODAY.

Our Supreme Court - in a unanimous decision - said what the president is doing to immigrants is unconstitutional.Yet our administration defies that order. And laughs about expanding this practice to US citizens. (See video)

The idea that our sitting president is joking with the president of El Salvador about shipping off US citizens to foreign prisons to be inprisoned for life, tortured or killed should alarm everybody.

Maybe you think you’ll be safe because you’re white or Christian and straight but you’re not. Do you enjoy speaking your mind? Smoking a little pot? Do you enjoy music or entertainment not aligned with far right’s preference?Do you worship the right way? It’s east to go afoul of somebody with absolute power.

Would you be okay with every gay person (or “suspected” gay person) being sent to die in an El Salvadoran prison? What about every person of color you know? Would you be okay withyour atheist or pagan friends being tortured to death?Wojld you be okay with me being sentenced to life for attending a protest or writing a post like this one?Would you be okay with people disappearing and never being heard from again?

If so, you’re lost. And when this Is all done I will shout to the rooftops that you *did* know.

To everybody else. Please take action. Focusing on the midterms aint enough.
