Folkets Hus
Folkets Hus is a squatted user-controlled communal house and has given room to countless political and social movements in Nørrebro and in Copenhagen.

3 year birthday party yayyyy!!!
We have fixed bikes with people in Nørrebro for THREE YEARS and we want to celebrate it together with you!
The workshop and the community around it has grown beyond what we had dreamed and we find it more fun than ever to fix bikes with all of you!🌻⚙️
So this Friday evening we turn on the grill, we mix drinks, play silly silly bike games and listen to some awesome tunes! We dance in the park if we want, chat and hang out and have a great time!
💥It will be the type of barbecue-hangout-party you wanna do on a summer evening! So bring you friends, and your bike if you wish too. Bike repair will not be the top priority of the day, but the workshop will be open and available to you if you want to spend some time on your precious little one.
🌭Vegan hot dogs will be on the grill for you to enjoy!
🎯Games will run throughout the evening! Sønderjysk ringridning and Kangaroo-bike-race can be one little tease for you.
🎵 Live music and DJ's!

Hola a todes!

This week marks the Nakba. 1948: over 750,000 Palestinians expelled, more than 500 villages erased. Not ancient history - a settler-colonial crime still unfolding.
Today, the same map is being redrawn: genocide in Gaza, ethnic cleansing in the West Bank. Bombs, starvation, home demolitions, settler pogroms. The methods adapt; the logic doesn't.
To name the Nakba is to confront the present.
We invite you to a screening of 2 short films.
“Ma’loul Celebrates Its Own Destruction”, 1985, Michel Khleifi, 32’ &
"Deir Yassin Remembered", b.h. Yael, 2006, 33’
Their homes raided, their land stolen, their people displaced. Israeli armed forces have commenced a massive pillaging of Palestinian villages, and a project of destruction of allPalestinian agricultural life. People of Ma’loul and Deir Yassin, then displaced now haunted by memories of loss and violence provide a glimpse into a past where olive trees still stand tall, people can get to work the land, and no military training camps are planted inside their houseyards. Through their truthful and vivid recollections, they challenge Israel’s portrayal of Nakba as a “war of independence” which Palestinians fled voluntarily, presumingly propelled by their anti-semitic sentiments.
