The perfect mark for a Horticulturist (plus maker, MA Green Building student) tree enthusiast, and all round do-er ✨). A bloody lovely afternoon was had.

Kath was also really keen to go with my judgement on placement and length of stem for this design. A ‘stem’ always scares people when they think about the overall size of their tattoo, but this for me was correct proportionally and just made the overall design and placement all the more powerful, yet graceful. Thanks for your trust lovely lady. x

Sunrise // Sunset for Sophie 🌞

A gorgeous session, flooded with sunshine, for the lovely Sophie who had packed her bags, set off on a hike in Cornwall and couldn’t stop thinking about my designs en route (I’m blushing), so sent me an email to see if I could fit her in on her way home and with a little bit of juggling I could! Job done. Job’s a good un. I can feel summer joy returning! X

Blimey, these words by @ellafrears hit all sorts of pinpoints in life. From right now, crawling out from under the rock of winter, to memories of childhood and spending hours and days immersed in the undergrowth, playing, imagining, dreaming… a time without technology, a time I wish I could give to my daughter now. A time we’ll never get back and she’ll never have. But we still have the sun, thank heavens, we still have the sun. 🌞
