Mary Heffernan : Rancher, Beef & Tallow
♥️ Cattle ranchers raising four girls named Mary 𐚁
🥩 shipping beef & tallows raised + harvested without ever leaving our hands -> to your doorstep📦
Five Marys tallow… nothing better!!
🌲 Order by Monday to ship express in time for Christmas!!
Not all tallow is created equal. The source matters.
Our tallow comes from animals raised right here on our own ranch. We control the entire process, start to finish. Done right. No shortcuts.
That means:
• Clean, traceable fat from animals raised with care
• No industrial processing or chemical refining
• No fillers, fragrances or unnecessary additives
And just as important… it’s made in our first-rate Tallow Kitchen. It’s carefully rendered, whipped and packaged in a clean, professional environment by people who take pride in doing things the right way.
Tallow isn’t new, it’s what our ancestors used. It’s traditional and clean and practical. And it works because it aligns with how skin is meant to function.
When you give your skin real nourishment from a clean, trusted source, it shows. Especially for teens who need simplicity, consistency and ingredients that support their skin instead of fighting it.
That’s the difference with Five Marys Tallow. Ranch-raised. Carefully made. No compromises.
Just honest skincare from our ranch to your family!

Part 2… ✨ Five Marys Farms is now… FIVE MARYS RANCH!
When we moved here 10 years ago, the girls were little and running around barefoot chasing chickens everywhere and farms felt right. Since then those girls have become capable cowgirls and ranch hands. As a family we are raising even more livestock and are proud to have built our own on-ranch harvest and butchery for the best quality dry-aged beef possible.
It felt like a good time to change our name to Five Marys Ranch.
But that doesn’t mean anything is changing about the quality and consistency we bring to your table every day. With the launch of our Lifestyle & Home collection next week, we’re excited to expand on that and bring not only the best quality meats, but heirloom quality pieces for your family table. We hope will be a part of your family legacy and moments around the dinner table together like they are for ours. ♥️
*What do you think of the new logo!? I worked with our talented hand-drawn sign painter to create something that felt rustic and original for the new Five Marys Ranch and I love how it turned out.

Reflecting on TEN YEARS since we left one life in the rearview mirror and started another. We thought a pretty house and matching dresses was what we were working so hard for… until we realized hard work as a family to build something together was what we really wanted.
It wasn’t easy. It still isn’t easy. Nothing is easy! But we are working and still learning everyday… and falling asleep fulfilled and happy, together.
Who votes these POG boys are better than any marketing team!? I do! 😊🌟
They wanted to tell you we just restocked the website with a new batch of Miracle Mix… and it usually goes fast!
Miracle Mix is a super power made with the best quality Five Marys freeze dried bone broth, liver, heart and spices. It’s hard to impossible to find animal proteins especially organs that are actually raised in the US - you can’t find a more clean sourced, premium, traceable product than this.
Use it anywhere you’d use salt for a boost of protein, collagen and the unique minerals we benefit so much from animal organs. Adds flavor and umami on anything you cook!
We add to eggs, soups, tacos, ground beef, pasta sauce, potatoes, avocado, stocks, steaks and pretty much anything we eat these days.
You can also rehydrate it for nutrient rich beef stock or sippable bone broth… and a few new varieties are coming soon too.
Thanks to the adorable and inquisitive @pastures_of_grace boys who have been loving Miracle Mix since we started making it. They are usually building forts or reading books outside the commercial kitchen and love being a part of “making videos” and helping out. 😊
Good job boys! 🌟
@pastures_of_grace @fivemaryscustommeatco
Pretty much sums it up… even if these things happen daily. 🤪
Life of a cattle rancher ♥️ Eat beef. 🥩

Jannie and Grampery made the trip to Oakdale to cheer on Tessa at California State Finals! She and her partner Colt Bray took 1st place in the First Go Round and won the buckle! ✨
We had fun cheering from the stands and went out to dinner while the girls played the Assassin game with squirt guns as a state wide fundraiser that Maisie organized (hence the goggles on Tessa) it’s been a fun weekend so far in Oakdale with so many fun rodeo families and a bonus to have @ojannie & @jssimo here too. ♥️♥️

He passed the test 😜💘 not that he needs testing but I love that in 20 years of marriage I’ve never walked on the curb side.
Every spring we shear our flock of Navajo Churro sheep and it’s quite a process… but they must feel so good with that fresh cut for the warmer months!
It’s part of good flock management and must be done, even the big horned rams (be careful around those guys!) and takes allll day with a few days of prep. But we got it done!
Everything breaks. Everyday is a new problem to solve. Everyday is hard work. But everyday has moments like this and that’s what keeps us going. ✨
Raising cattle from start to finish for customers tables comes with a lot of challenges - especially when we handle every step of the process and outsource nothing (typical grocery store beef might have changed hands 5-8 times before it gets to you) I’ll try to do a post to explain it actually fascinating to learn. But we are committed to bringing you the best quality beef (and pork and lamb!) from ONE source - our family! ♥️
*we’re shipping today if you need a box of Five Marys meats on your doorstep tomorrow. 😊
and this is just the stuff that broke and needed fixing in the last week 😜 He might have started his career as a lawyer… but thank God he’s handy! ♥️
Ranch life = always something

I had to show you a little more from my trip to Detroit and this awesome collaboration between Carhartt and Ford Trucks - two of my favorite brands. These is so much history between these two iconic Detroit brands that were built in parallel in the same city with so many similarities.
Hamilton Carhartt:
• Founded Carhartt in Detroit in 1889
• Built durable workwear for railroad workers, farmers and laborers
• Focused on function, toughness and long-lasting quality
• Helped outfit the workers building industrial America
• Created one of the most recognizable workwear brands in history
• Built around hardworking Americans and practical utility
• Carhartt still represents grit, authenticity and hard work today
Henry Ford:
• Founded Ford Motor Company in Detroit in 1903
• Built affordable automobiles for everyday Americans
• Focused on durability, reliability and efficient production
• Helped transform transportation and industrial manufacturing
• Created one of the most iconic blue-collar American brands in history
• Built around hardworking Americans and practical innovation
• Ford still represents American manufacturing and work ethic today
This truck is so much more than I expected down to the triple stitching detail on the spill proof interior and nod to Carhartt‘s triple stitch roots.
We’ve always been a Ford truck family, but this one brings together two of my favorite brands! 💙💛♥️
And no, I didn’t get to drive one home but maybe someday. ◡̈
