Reflecting on a year of evolution and growth for Ferro & Fawn ✨

Making jewelry has been such a special creative space for me since I started making and selling jewelry over ten years ago in 2015. It has provided an outlet for my design brain to get off of the computer and work with my hands on something tangible. Seeing how my style and material choices have evolved over the years has been really something special, while my mediums have changed, Ferro & Fawn has remained a constant in my life that I’m so grateful for.

Over the years I’ve explored working with gemstones, clay, soldering/ metal and now beads. Landing on beadwork feels so right. I love the slowness of if, the process of working from a pattern that I created, the motion of the stitches, and the ability to work from my cozy couch or easily take my bead kit with me on a trip.

The learning and collaboration process tends to be my favorite part of creating so I will forever keep exploring new mediums (hello embroidery) and continue to incorporate painted clay, metalwork, and more into my work, but today I’m feeling grateful for beads, and a needle and thread. 🧵🪡

This year I started doing a few more markets again, selling new beaded jewelry and art prints, did a fun photoshoot, finished my website (!) collaborated with my sweet friend Megs over at @shopharpersage , worked on some freelance projects, and built up my confidence as an artist and surface pattern designer over at @Kristen.Rand.Draws

My creative goals this year are big- but in this @ferroandfawn space I hope to bring you several new and exciting jewelry ideas that have been in the hopper for a while and do more in-person markets. I’ve been missing the creative community and get so much joy from being a part of the maker space!
