Meet our Head of Textiles 🧵
Geena oversees the fabric side of our builds, from flags and bunting to immersive stage design, bringing a rare mix of craftsmanship and creativity!

With an incredibly diverse creative background, Geena has worked across everything from touring light installations to TV and film art departments. Making has always been at the centre of her life, shaped by a deeply creative family and a hands-on approach to building from an early age. Alongside festival work, she’s also built shepherd huts and converted vans, constantly finding new ways to turn ideas into physical spaces and experiences. Before joining Faulds Creativeworks, Geena worked with charities and NGOs including Greenpeace and Surfers Against Sewage, focusing on fundraising, events, and prop building. Purpose-led creative work continues to be a huge driver for her, with ambitions to one day launch a social enterprise of her own.

One project especially close to Geena’s heart is Green Man Festival, where she has worked with Faulds Creativeworks for nearly five years. More recently, she’s also stepped into mixing visuals on the Far Out Big Top stage, which is something she’d dreamed of doing for years.

“I love the community and how everyone plays a part in bringing such a wonderful independent festival together,” Geena shared. “I always feel really grateful to have it in my calendar each year.”

This year, Geena’s focus is on creating more balance; spending more time with family, finishing her van conversion, and making space for surfing, travel, and community. She’s also planning to develop community-led events at Off-Grid Organics, centred around women’s circles, yoga, camping, and forest schools that support local families and connection to nature.

Meet the wonderful Gemma, Head of Scenic at Faulds Creativeworks.
She is responsible for all of the finishes and final touches on the work created here, which includes painting, textures, glazing and spraying - Gemma’s usually the last person to work on a piece before it heads off to be installed!

Gemma’s journey into the industry began at just 17, when she started volunteering at festivals. She worked her way up into paid roles, later moving to Bristol to study Fine Art at @uwebristol .This is Gemma’s 2nd season working in-house, but we have worked with Gemma at various events for many years🌟

When asked if she has a favourite project she’s worked on, Gemma shared:
“ @greenmanfest has to be up there. It’s such a beautiful setting and the team are second to none. That said, it’s hard to choose a favourite because I’ve worked with so many great people and been involved in some really interesting projects over the years.”

This year, Gemma wants to focus on spending time with family and friends, whilst also continuing to make and create outside of work. She has recently started painting on canvas again!

Meet Sam our construction manager ⚙️

Sam began his career with an aircraft apprenticeship before moving into mechanical engineering. His natural curiosity about how things move drives his work, shaping the variety and complexity of the projects he takes on.

Now Construction Manager at Faulds Creativeworks, he oversees fabrication during the busy season, working closely with designers and leading the team to make sure every project comes together.

A standout project for Sam was fabricating and installing The Bump at @mightyhoopla . Sam shared, “I loved the industrial aesthetics in the design - it was a great blend of my industrial background and creative work in the industry.”

Sam’s goals for 2026 are to grow his own business as an engineer and to increase the complexity of his projects with stronger elements of mechanical engineering.
