Four weeks in, and "An Island Unto Their Own" continues to grow in meaningful ways.
Over the past few weeks, Exuma Arts Network has welcomed school groups for tours and workshops (virtual and in-person), hosted Creative Club weekly within the exhibition space, and shared the work of Curtis 'Cat' Glass and Amos Ferguson with both local and international visitors.
We’ve also begun the release of limited edition prints featuring selected works by Amos Ferguson. While sales are still in their early stages, the response and interest have been incredibly encouraging—and we’re grateful to everyone who has reached out, visited the exhibition, shared the work, or supported EAN along the way.
This exhibition has become more than a show. It has become a space for conversation, learning, remembrance, and connection.
If you haven’t visited yet, we hope you’ll stop by.
On view through June 11.

Not all prints are created equally.
Edition size.
Archival materials.
Estate authorization.
These details matter—not just in how a work looks, but in how it holds its value and meaning over time.
Each print released through "An Island Unto Their Own" has been produced with care, intention, and respect for Amos Ferguson's legacy.
A quieter way of collecting.
One rooted in preservation, not reproduction.

What happens when science meets art?
On Tuesday, April 28th, Exuma Arts Network welcomed the George Town Primary Science Club for a lively and curious visit to "An Island Unto Their Own".
Led by Sann Sann Lam, the tour explored how artists use a process not so different from the Scientific Method:
Observation → Hypothesis → Experiment → Analysis → Conclusion
From looking closely at brushwork to imagining meaning and testing ideas through discussion, students discovered that art—like science—is built on curiosity and exploration.
A special moment: Curtis 'Cat' Glass’s granddaughter was part of the group, connecting past and present in a meaningful way.

We’re excited to share this!
Exuma Arts Network has received a generous $1,000 donation from Exuma Garden Club in support of our annual children’s summer camp and ongoing programming.
This kind of support makes a real difference—helping us create space for young people to explore, imagine, and grow through art.
As we gear up for this year’s summer camp, we’re looking forward to what’s ahead—and welcoming others who would like to be part of it.

Extending the exhibition beyond the gallery.
Last Friday, Exuma Arts Network hosted a virtual tour of "An Island Unto Their Own" with a children’s afterschool art club in Long Island—followed by a hands-on workshop inspired by the work of Amos Ferguson.
Led by EAN Founding Director Sann Sann Lam and supported on the ground by resident art educator Natasha Knowles, the session created space for young artists to explore storytelling, color, and imagination through their own interpretations.
Moments like these reflect what the exhibition makes possible—connection, learning, and creative exchange across islands.

Some companions never leave your side.
For Curtis 'Cat' Glass, dogs were more than part of the landscape—they were part of life itself. Loyal, present, and quietly constant, they appear throughout his work not as background, but as witnesses to everyday moments.
In many of his paintings, a dog rests nearby—watching, waiting, sharing space without demand. Much like in his own life, where his black dog was a steady companion, always close as he worked, observed, and created.
These small but powerful details remind us that his art was never just about scenery. It was about relationship—between people, place, and the beings who move through it with us.
On view now at Exuma Arts Network through June 11.
