Humanoids XP2 ⚉ Custom Enhanced #metahuman Experiment. Rendered with #octanerender inside UE5

Facial expressions are done with #faceware and #autodeskmaya
The head shape is built based on a 3d scan and converted to metahuman with #meshtometahuman
and textures are projected and swapped with the original scan textures
Wrinkle displacement maps generated based on MH wrinkle normal maps and sculpted and enhanced in #zbrush
Grooming is done and simulated in #houdinifx

I've been obsessed with #unrealengine metahumans last 4months, and the challenge was to push the limits and make something custom and not a generic Metahuman. I also wanted to go realistic as far as I could with the power of unbiased path tracing, pixel-perfect SSS, and refractions, and most importantly, having an animated character with all the animated wrinkle maps :) The workflow is hacky and convoluted, with many third-party apps, scripting, baking, sculpting, and stuff...
I will prepare a proper process video soon :)
