This run is from our overnight mission in the mountains. Our home run down to the valley. The whole day was magical. Beautiful morning, first turns in slush and then walking up to this run, Sun all day. The pack feels a bit lighter as most of the food have been eaten. Still freakin’ heavy though 😅We arrive at the top and look down into our run and the snow looks perfect. The view is amazing. The boys think I should go first so I do. One of the most memorable days this season ❤️

I’m proud of myself. It’s a great practice to say something really nice to yourself and truly own it. Like you would talking about someone else you love. It’s been a “strange” winter for a lot of reasons. Snow pack wise, weather, my own growth process, it’s just been different. I’ve contemplated on my own journey as a skier and as a human. How do I wish to evolve? Where is my inner compass guiding me? Spending more time up in the north, where I have less lift access and a lot of time by myself, I’ve been doing things more solo. Practicing my skills of safe route finding and trusting my decisions and intuition. Backing my gut feeling with facts. And when André hasn’t been working, we’ve been exploring the mountains together in many different settings, it’s been so fun! I’ve learned so much. Feeling very grateful to have a strong mountain companion that can teach me so many things I haven’t yet fully explored ❤️ that word “strange” becomes stepping out of my comfort zone and honing my skills as a lover of the mountains. I feel so alive, so grateful and so curious to further evolve. Many many thanks.
