Pride is not “Values Month.” 🌈

In 2018, every corporation wanted to wave the rainbow flag. Now that it feels less convenient, some are trying to rebrand Pride into something broader, softer, and “safer.”

But that is not allyship. That is convenience.

Values matter. Of course they do. But Pride already represents values: courage, dignity, visibility, freedom, respect, and the right to exist openly.

Replacing Pride with a generic values campaign does not make the message more inclusive. It makes it easier to avoid saying who we are actually standing with.

We do not need corporations to defend us.

But we should not let them erase us either.

Pride is visibility.
Pride is celebration.
Pride is non-negotiable.

Ask uncomfortable questions. Hold organizations accountable. And support queer businesses while you’re at it. 🖤

For a long time, I thought focusing on “the look” was superficial.
Recently, it has clicked differently.

What people take from us is shaped less by what we say and more by how we show up — our energy, our presence, the signals we send without speaking.

Leadership is not neutral.
It’s experienced.

Bringing my Queer Self and my Corporate Self together hasn’t just been about authenticity — it’s been about becoming intentional in how I communicate and lead.

Hiding who you are is exhausting. But being yourself at work is not always simple.

Over time, I have learned to distinguish between moments when I am the message and moments when I am the messenger.

When I am the message, I try to show myself more fully.
When I am the messenger, I may adapt more to the room — but I still keep something that anchors me to who I am.

What a privilege it is to travel for work — especially when work brings you to a city as diverse, vibrant and full of contrasts as London.

These days have reminded me of the power of contrast.

An urban farm thriving in the shadow of the financial district.
An iconic red phone booth reinvented for the digital age.
Old symbols, new meanings.

For me, this is also a leadership lesson: progress does not always mean leaving the past behind. Sometimes it means understanding what is worth preserving — and having the courage to redefine its purpose.

London does not just embrace diversity; it lives it. And for a strategic mind, there are few things more energizing than that kind of vibrant, polychromatic energy.

When I was this adorable little boy, I was fiercely bullied at school.

I didn’t have the courage to tell anyone. And, even if many people must have known, nobody spoke about it.

Some people who knew me back then might say that experience made me the strong man I am today.

That’s bullshit.

Don’t buy that argument. And don’t let any child suffer through bullying in silence.

On World Day Against Bullying, please take two minutes to think about how you can educate, listen, and be present with the children around you.

A veces liderar no va de estrategia ni de decisiones complejas.
Va de algo mucho más simple: dar visibilidad y empujar a los tuyos.

Hoy hago una pausa del corporate y el inglés para apoyar a mi amigo Raico y su nuevo proyecto.

Ha reinventado un clásico canario —el gofio 🇮🇨— combinándolo con ingredientes de alta calidad para momentos de alta exigencia: post entreno o cuando necesitas energía de verdad.

Más allá del producto (que está buenísimo), hay algo que me parece clave:
atreverse a construir desde la identidad, con ambición y sin pedir permiso.

Si estás en Canarias, merece mucho la pena probarlo.
