“In the sixth of his varied roles with the company, singing with nuance and his character’s open heart, Eric Michael Gillett is sympathetic and strong as male protagonist Phil, courting widow Ruth.
“Like a Young Man” (wonderfully sung by Mr. Gillett and the men), shares a kinship with what the composer-lyricist would later create for the title characters of Mame and Mrs. Santa Claus(“That’s How Young I Feel” and “Almost Young,” respectively).”

Excited as all get out to head to Brattleboro Vermont to join NECCA (New England Center for Circus Arts) in their annual gala in support of this remarkable institution. I've always believed circus is universal, and they're teaching new generations the revered skills that go into being a part of the glorious mosaic that is the circus. And, who knows, I may even sing. Odd day today. Opened “Grumpy Old Men” at TheatreZone successfully last night, but woke up today seriously morose and depressed. Took me the whole day to figure out that this is the day my sweet baby sister, Judy, left us unexpectedly and far far too soon. It doesn’t hit me often but, when it does, the ache is always the same. This is Judy in some of my favorite pictures of her, usually with the light of her life, her beautiful son, Walter. She would be so proud of the man he’s become and the life he’s building for himself with his gorgeous bride to be. Miss you to the moon and back, sweetie!
