Came off a planning call with the wonderful @gytha_home and was suitably inspired to feel called to go and take a few pictures in the rain in my very normal garden today. Somehow it just looked really alluring with it’s weighed down textures and defiant pops of colour against a very bleak sky. Overgrown hedges because I didn’t get round to doing them before nesting season, bits of compost bags blocking light to kill the grass, strawberry plants fallen down, wet cushions, old rickety greenhouse - it’s all enough for me.

So what does my process look line when you book with me?

We start off with you booking a call and filling out a questionnaire about your business, clients find this so helpful to think about what it is that makes them different and what they do and why.

We then have an in depth call where we pick apart your needs and where you’ll use the images. We can bounce around a lot of ideas on this call and I really listen to hone into how our time is best spent together. I then sit with my notes and visualise our shoot together - what it might look like and what shots we need to get. I make extensive notes and then using all this information I hit Pinterest to save some shots that visually communicate what I’m thinking to set your tone and language. Sometimes I’ll use images from past shoots or I’ll market research your area of work and find shots that convey what my thoughts were - never to copy, always just to communicate and think about elements.

Then, I send your moodboard over with a narration so I can fully explain what I’m thinking. I await your feedback and from here I create our shot plan for the day to keeps on track. This comes to your for approval and all that is left to do is for us to have fun with our designed shoot with no stone left unturned and no questions over we need to shoot.

I just wanted to say the hugest thank you to everyone who sponsored/donated and cheered me on for my 100 miles in April challenge for @alzheimerssoc - a cause close to many of our hearts 💙 I’m pleased to say I completed the challenge clocking in at 102 miles and have raised £500 for Alzheimer’s Society who do such important work supporting families who have been devastated by this cruel condition.

Walking over 60 hours during the month helped my noggin no end and leaves no doubt for Ollie he landed in the right place. Only problem is he’s got a little bit too used to the volume of walking so we’re dialling back a bit slowly bur surely 😂
