Past and present (where have all the flowers gone). Found roll of film from solo travel sometime maybe in 2023. Blurry self timer moments in Brooklyn, Athens, and Cyprus and a song from yesterday at the end!

Yes we were mimes
Playfully engaging the central question of the show, portraiture/interpretation, I was trying to pass off my costume as regular clothes but in the end we merged, I was painted.
I was never interested to cast a doppelgänger mime twin(s). We are united by our costumes, our chosen identity.
Huge thanks to my longtime performance collaborators, Ellpetha Tsivicos and Camilo Quiroz-Vasquez who brought great joy to my meta language play. The are co-founders of the multidisciplinary arts incubator One Whale’s Tale.
Back in 2017, after long illness, a couple days before an opening my social anxiety was so bad, I thought I would have a panic attack talking to everyone. I saw a Jamaican drum band in the subway and hired them to play the opening, and whenever I felt like it was all too much, I would stand close to them where it was too loud to hear what people were saying. Initially, I thought having a twin mime at a show with a loose mimesis theme would also act as an unnerving social shield. BUT this was actually very fun and loving for everyone involved. And helped me finally understand what was going on with me all those years ago. Thank you to @taratarafox and @sgglossolalia for these images.

More than 200 people trudged through the aftermath of a blizzard to gather at Danspace Project at St. Mark’s Church in-the-Bowery for We the People: An Assembly of New York Artists, hosted by the Hunter College Office of the Arts (@artsathunter) on January 26.
The attendees introduced themselves, and then took 60 seconds to propose, from their own experience, how the arts in New York might better flourish.
Missed the assembly? Check out our website for videos and a live summary of the conversation compiled in real time by our team, and join the discussion on our “Post Your Ideas” page.

Everybody who is anybody will be at the #BrooklynBiennale - 1/31 - MAY THE GREATEST ARTISTWIN!

Well, I’ve run out of time, or something?2025 sucked and I never really got the chance to “catch up”. I worked too much, got so much taken away from me, lost loved ones, almost lost other loved ones, lost friends, was stolen from, lied to, manipulated and you know what else, through it all, I laughed a lot and realized the most wonderful thing in my life is my beautiful community of friends and family who remind me every day that I am a cherished and lucky girl. Here are pics from my (joint) birthday party with @camiloooo in January of 2025, so in case you are wondering where I am at, it’s 3 weeks into 2025, and I am still trying to catch up on what is now last year. I guess that means it’s a good time to take it from the top! Whatever, time isn’t real! More bullshit in 2026, but also more smiles and love, and a commitment to staying present and letting in the precious light. It’s tough out there, but the world changes with how you live your life everyday. Be cool, or else. Community is timeless, karma is a bitch and confetti is forever.
This party was really fun! 13 cakes! A inflatable jacuzzi! A whole pig! Confused cops! Surprise best friends from out of state! Adopted Colombian family serenades! Not pictured: 300 tacos!Several gritos c/o @marilyncastillomusic ! Vinyl DJ set by @monarca.sonido ! Photos mostly by @taratarafox

Reflecting on these past few months, and I am reminded how hard it is hard to remember to take care of ourselves. Where do we find the time? The money? The more we work and grow, the more we have to remember to check-in on ourselves and the people around us. Spent a day with the crew of ‘I Wish I Knew How’ @citywellbrooklyn reflecting on where we’ve been, where we are, and where we’d like to be. ‘I Wish I Knew How’ is a creative arts healing program for formerly incarcerated people that is guided by the needs of the group. Sometimes this means long conversations, writing workshops, scene study, seeing a play, being in a play, mutual aid, working out life issues and sometimes on a nice day, it means slowing down and sitting in a sauna and hot tub (because they fucking deserve self care). Large organizations are cutting back on funding for re-entry programs, but we are committed to keep this work going. We will be raising funds through the end of this year and next to make this happen because we believe in each of these individuals! They inspire us and remind us that pain is universal, healing is possible, and community is supremely necessary. Love you guys!!!!!! Thank you @citywellbrooklyn for your kindness and generosity!!!

Two weeks ago we had the first of many gatherings of The Cyprus Foundation and started to see a long term dream beginning to take shape! The best part of it all was being in a room full of very cool Cypriots that had never gathered together before (including one who just randomly walked by and saw the Cyprus totes - what are the odds? Very small actually.) There was so much energy from this group spanning all ages and generations, careers and walks of life. There was a curiosity from the non-Cypriots to learn more about Cyprus, and a generosity from those with knowledge to share parts of our history and culture. I’m calling it a Dialogical Exhibition, the organic building of a community, and a small step forward in bringing Cyprus into a wider cultural sector. Thank you to the very beautiful @rosa_newyork for being such a welcoming place to see and discuss different mediums of culture from Cyprus (art, textiles, clothing, pottery, wine, literature, music). Here are some photos of this perfectly cool and perfectly Cypriot night! MORE SOON! Thank you to everyone who stopped by, everyone who donated, shared and supported, and as always, thank the gods for ART!
Thank you to @steph.lmss for photos 6, 13, 14, 18 + @snakes4hair for photo 1 !!!

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, everyone who donated, shared and supported, and as always, thank the gods for ART!
Thank you to @steph.lmss for photos 6, 13, 14, 18 + @snakes4hair for photo 1 !!!
