My second piece in my stained glass window series, this one including all MLM trans men 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈

For this semester long project, I wanted to exemplify this concept of trans male love and sexuality. I think it’s absolutely astounding and beautiful the idea of two trans men who worked so hard to be the men that they are, coming together in their love for men and masculinity. And I don’t want all forms of masculine gender expression to be seen as toxic. Sometimes it can be beautiful and affirming. And I also want to remind and affirm the fact that one can be both a trans man and a gay man, and the two are not mutually exclusive, like some seem to think. My identity as a trans man doesn’t take away from my identity as a gay man, it affirms it, and vice versa. I want to remind everyone that I don’t depict this explicit imagery just for the shock value, I do it with a very specific concept and intent in mind.

Last Saturday, I ran for the Powerhouse Leather title for the second time. And I fucking won. I still don’t think it’s even fully set in just yet. It feels equal parts weird and amazing. Not only am I one of, if not the, youngest person to hold this title, but I’m also the first openly trans Mr. Powerhouse. I can’t even begin to express to you how much of an honor that is.

I wanted to finally make an official post thanking everyone that helped me get here:

First, thank you to @omalley75 and @nuncanaughty for being my support network leading up to the contest. They were the ones that set up mock interviews, reviewed my speech, and gave opinions on outfits. They were also the ones that hyped me up enough to feel as though I could actually get up on that stage and do it.

Divine Masc: T-Dance, A Trans Masc Meet up and Happy Hour 🏳️‍⚧️

This will be our casual after work trans masc bar hangout time, for those that don’t want to stay out late, or don’t vibe with the evening bar scene. 

We will have @tattooz_by_gauge back once again doing flash tattoos. Details and the flash sheet will be posted on the Divine Masc Instagram page prior to the event, so be on the lookout for that.

Last month’s gear swap was so great that we’re doing it again! Come bring your lightly used gear and clothing that you don’t have a use for anymore, and find some new items to add to your collection!

No cover, just donations. Come relax, have a drink, and meet new friends! Everyone is welcome!
