A partir de hoje, podes candidatar-te ao prémio 𝗘𝗻𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝘀 𝗱𝗮 𝗜𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗼 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄𝘀 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲.

Se és fotógrafo emergente, esta é uma oportunidade única para apresentares o teu trabalho a especialistas da área - curadores, galeristas, editores e diretores de museus e festivais de várias partes do mundo.

Após a fase de seleção, 32 fotógrafos são convidados a participar nas leituras de portfólio, que decorrem nos dias 8 e 9 de outubro, em Braga. O vencedor terá o seu trabalho exposto no festival em 2027 e receberá um prémio monetário de 3000€.

A open call decorre até 7 de junho. São aceites projetos de diferentes tipos - fotografia, vídeo, instalação, mixed media.

Starting today, you can apply for the 𝗘𝗻𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝘀 𝗱𝗮 𝗜𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗼 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄𝘀 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲award.

If you're an emerging photographer, take the unique opportunity to present your projects to international experts in the field - curators, gallery owners, editors and directors of museums and festivals from around the world.

After the selection phase, 32 photographers are invited to participate in the portfolio reviews, which take place on the 8th and 9th of October in Braga. The winner will have their work exhibited at the festival in 2027 and receive a cash prize of €3,000.

The open call runs until 7 june. Different types of projects accepted - photography, video, installation, mixed media.

Até 24 de maio, está a decorrer a open call para o prémio que visa destacar os melhores livros de fotografia. Este ano, o júri irá atribuir dois prémios: Melhor Livro Publicado e Melhor Dummy. O vencedor de cada categoria irá receber 1000€.

Todos os livros submetidos e enviados farão parte de uma exposição coletiva, no âmbito da 36.ª edição dos Encontros da Imagem, em Braga.

Until 24th may, there is an open call that aims to highlight the best photobooks. This year, the jury will award two prizes: Best Published Book Award and Best Dummy Award. The winner of each category will receive 1000€.

All the submitted books will be part of a group exhibition as part of the 36th edition of Encontros da Imagem in Braga.

“SACRE” explora como o corpo se torna um espaço de disciplina, transformação e sacrifício na construção do reconhecimento artístico. Combinando fotografia e uma abordagem poética inspirada em “Le Sacre du Printemps” de Stravinsky, o projeto investiga a relação entre autonomia corporal, vulnerabilidade e as exigências impostas pela criação artística, revelando como ideais estéticos e normas de performance moldam formas de identidade e pertença.

“SACRE” explora como o corpo se torna um espaço de disciplina, transformação e sacrifício na construção do reconhecimento artístico. Combinando fotografia e uma abordagem poética inspirada em “Le Sacre du Printemps” de Stravinsky, o projeto investiga a relação entre autonomia corporal, vulnerabilidade e as exigências impostas pela criação artística, revelando como ideais estéticos e normas de performance moldam formas de identidade e pertença.

“𝘽𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙩 – 𝙈𝙤𝙧𝙛𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙜𝙞𝙖𝙨 𝙙𝙖 𝘿𝙚𝙨𝙤𝙧𝙙𝙚𝙢“ é o novo lançamento do coletivo FAHR 021.3 que conta com a instalação “Linha que atravessa a Parede”, que esteve integrada na exposição “continuum” de Tito Mouraz, nos Encontros da Imagem em 2024. A publicação é apresentada publicamente no próximo dia 15 de maio, no Muzeu, às 18h, em Braga e conta com a presença de António Guerreiro.

No dia seguinte, acontece a oficina “𝗣𝗼𝗿 𝘂𝗺𝗮 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝘀 𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘀", orientada por Filipa Frois Almeida, das 10h às 12h, no Fórum Arte Braga. A atividade propõe pensar a imagem para além do seu papel enquanto representação, entendendo-a como um campo de relações que se transforma com o tempo, a memória e o olhar. A exploração da memória e identidade sob a luz de um diagnóstico de Alzheimer. Através de histórias familiares e materiais de arquivo, o artista @cebasekmreflete sobre a memória subjetiva, a história coletiva e as diferentes formas de recordar e compreender o outro.

Ao longo do dia de hoje, Matevž irá partilhar algumas curiosidades sobre “In the Mountains, the Sun is Shining”, que lhe valeu o prémio Encontros da Imagem Award 2025.

An exploration of memory and identity in the context of an Alzheimer’s diagnosis. Through family stories and archival materials, the artist Matevž Čebašek reflects on subjective memory, collective history, and the different ways of remembering and understanding others.

Throughout today, Matevž will share some interesting facts about “In the Mountains, the Sun is Shining,” which earned him the Encontros da Imagem Award 2025.
