This beautiful record sees Dermot stepping into his own a celebration of his poetry, his country and all the parts that make him an amazing artist and human. Please enjoy and we can all take a lesson from how he moves in his art and the world with honour, grace and integrity. Shout out to @gabesimonsays and @carey.willetts who helped Dermot unlock this album. We wanted to get this album out as a body of work sooner rather than later so here it is and with so much more to come from this album as it reveals itself in coming months and comes alive on tours.

Congratulations @leighannepinnock and to everyone involved who worked so tirelessly over the last few years at @tapmusic and beyond, this is such a great moment. From our earlymeetings through time at Warners and then to our new family at Virgin and all the other people in involved this journey has been an inspiring one. @erinlecount I BELIEVE ! ♡ in u and me ! in this song ! it is all yours ! thanku for listening and thanku for showing love to a song that had been stashed away on bedazzled silver usb sticks and hard drives for a long time. i think making music, dancing with people or dancing alone, singing along like i’m saying affirmations out loud has always been a way of navigating grief or heavy feelings. there’s a comfort in confessing over the most aggressive synth and drums i could find, making it so loud i can barely think, using the music as a way to get back into my body, shouting about all the methods i tried and tested that i thought would give me meaning or purpose or a belief system or autonomy and control. there is so much noise and this was the song i made to try and tune out of it for just three and a half minutes. that’s all it ever is ! ♡

& surprise !!!!!!! in the spirit & gratitude of everyone who learnt these lyrics and and sang this song word for word before i’d ever put it out at shows - at 5PM GMT we will be sharing ‘I BELIEVE’ LIVE FROM KOKO VIDEO on youtube. one of the most special nights of my life on a tour i am so excited to return to. :’D
