So here’s what happened… I was soundchecking in Charlottesville VA when my manager Alex texted me “could you sit in with the keys on Fallon Monday?” I didn’t hesitate a sec. I said “yep!” And got into NYC a day earlier. Dan, Pat and their crew are just the nicest folks. I won’t lie, I was nervous as shit. Can’t ya tell by the way I was smackin that gum😆

R.I.P. Papa. You were about the best grandpa one could ask for. A renaissance man to say the least. Worked at Lockheed during Vietnam, became a poultry and diary farmer, flew airplanes, sailed the Bahamas in his sailboat. I lived with him and my grandma on their farm for a few years during covid. My best memories were making him his favorite omelette from the fresh eggs laid that morning. Many nights we’d stay up way past 1 am playing flight simulator on his PC normally ending in me crashing. All those years riding up in shotgun him smoking his black and milds with the windows up. I was so glad he got to come and see us at the Ryman. I know he was proud of me and I was proud to have a him as my papa.
